First of all, you can use following sentence to ask for WeChat of others.

We can add friends by searching their WeChat ID, mobile no. or scan QR code.

Jack added Mary on WeChat yesterday, but still got no reply at all.

My dad sent me a friend request on Wechat, but I turned him down because there are so many crazy pictures on it.
When your friend request is accepted, you can modify the aliacas (备注名bèi zhù míng ）to make it more easily memorized.
