Job Description &Responsibilities

1. The teacher may be required to teach up to a maximum of 22 classes a week at the School’s discretion. The teaching load will be lowered for individuals with position(s) of responsibility.

2. Working hours : Mon to Fri ,8:00-17:30, Lunchrest 12:00-14:00

3. The teacher is expected to be present for activities outside normal teaching hours including but not restricted to the Sports Days, School’s festivities and celebrations and the Graduation Ceremony.

4.  The teacher may also be expected to support the School’s students’ recruitment drive, which may include interviewing prospective students and participating in open days.

Requirements:

1. Candidates fromUS/UK/AUS/CAN/NZ/Ireland/SA, aged 20-55

2. Bachelor’s degree or higher,majored in Education/Linguistics/Sociology/Literature preferred    

3. At least two years of teaching experience in international schools;

4. Familiar with AP/IB/A-level/Canadiancourses, relevant certificates preferred;  

5. Good curriculum control, appeal, excellent oral expression ability and public speaking ability

OUR PACKAGE

1. Salary: 18K—22K before tax, 1K performance bonus included, negotiable

Our Youth Researcher Program is an international class initiated by Suzhou Education Bureau. We aim to help students enter the Top 100 universities in the World Rank. Students enter this program in Grade 10, and will spend 2 years in Suzhou High School and 1 year in Kent School in Canada. Our students will accept both Chinese traditional academic lessons and Canadian Ontario classes.
