JOB Description
English Teacher
Main Responsibilities
1. Teaching ESL and ELA class with 20-25 lessons per week to students whose first language is not English
2. Provide a detailed syllabus for class schedules throughout the school year with lessons based on standardized testing standards(e.g. TOEFL,IELTSSATACT) and school missions.
3. Teaching students according to their individual educational needs, including the appropriate classroom setting and providing efficient feedback on homework carried out by students. Engaging students in active class instructions or discussions.
4. Assessing, recording, and reporting on the attendance academic progress, classroom behavior and keeping electronic records as required. Maintaining discipline according to school rules and to encourage good practice of punctuality, behavior, standards of homework assignment and collaborative learning as well as self-learning skills. Marking and grading students work and give timely and effective verbal/written feedback.
5. Meet school targets for midterm and final examinations.

6. Collaborate with homeroom teachers to work as the English advisor for a group of 15 students to plan organize and lead morning activities for students.
7. As the English advisor, put forward plans and suggestions for students' standardized English tests and provide individual counseling and tutor for the student's weak English subjects.
8. Work with other subject groups and other departments to plan inter disciplinary projects or school activities·Work with Office of College Counseling to write school recommendation letters for senior students for college application and summer school purposes. Attend all meetings, events, student admission activities and interviews held in school.
9. Assisting with duties assigned by the English Director and the English Department Head.

Sports&PE Teacher:
Basic requirements for candidates:
1.Holding a bachelor’s degree in related majors in P.E., with bachelor’s or more advanced degree preferred; overseas educational qualifications preferred;
2.Professional teaching certifications in the subject;
3.Minimum 3 years teaching experiences of relevant fields;
4.A minimum of two years experience in international schools;
5.Proficient enough in English to be able to use it as the language of instruction and in the work place with an understanding of the importance of developing technical literacy in teaching the subject to Chinese students in English;
6.A professional attitude to teaching consistent with Cranleigh’s mission and value including a commitment to team working, perseverance and a commitment to accepting responsibility;
7.Experience of working with enthusiastic and motivated Chinese students[aged15-17];
8.Evidence of commitment to continued professional development and prepared to participate in school based in-service activities;

Economics Teacher:
1. According to CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) syllabus, teaching relevant A Level /IGCSE subject course in English or bilingual.
2. Assigning appropriate homework and correcting homework on time.
3. Supervising students and monitoring students’ learning progress.
4. Preparing students’ periodic school report.
5. Given extra help to weak students
6. Participating in extracurricular activities
7. Provide reference letters and possibly quidance services to students for thei university applications
8. Attend meetings as requested(eg. parentsmeetingsstaff meetings as well as any other appropriate meetings/promotional events), as may be reasonably required.
9. Respect and comply with school regulations.
