本句型是典型的表达作者观点的句型，可以用在议论文中的分析问题部分。hesitation意为“犹豫;踌躇”。

如:

To compete the task is so urgent that it allows of nohesitation.这项任务紧急，不容迟疑。

本句型中的without hesitation作为插入语，既可以前后都用逗号隔开，放在情态动词和实义动词之间，也可以放在句末。此外，whether后面所接的从句句末可以加or not，也可以不加。

表示在两种行为或者事物中选择其一的句型还有:

I would prefer the former/latter.
