1. Open Rank Scientist Position, siRNA / ASO technology
Key areas of responsibility:
Take key responsibility in driving the future development of the siRNA / antisense oligonucleotides (ASO) technology platform already established , and use the platform to support various pipeline projects, discovery / validation of new therapeutic targets in areas of diabetes, obesity, CVD and NASH. You will plan and conduct siRNA / ASO design, in silico prediction of off-target effects, in vitro screening and coordinate team efforts including in vivo pharmacology studies to make conclusion on the efficacy and safety of new therapeutic targets. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in biology, medicine or chemistry, or a relevant scientific discipline
• Extensive experience and in-depth understanding of siRNA / ASO technology
• Minimum 2-3 years of postdoctoral training or equivalent industrial experience is preferred
• Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth biology understanding in one or more of the following disease areas is a strong plus: diabetes, obesity, CVD and NASH
• Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value
• Excellent communication skills
2. Postdoctoral researcher, gut organoid engineering for drug development
Appointment duration: two years initially, with the possibility to convert to full time employee
Key areas of responsibility:
The successful candidate will explore the emerging field of gut organoid in the industry setting. The project is aiming at building translatable in vitro models for the development of peptide drugs and formulations suitable for oral administration to patients. The project focuses on: 1) defining appropriate culture protocols for human gut organoid including stomach and intestine; 2) evaluating the transport efficiency of peptide drugs through the barrier layers of the gut organoid, when the peptide drugs are in optimized formulations. The project is in collaboration with external academia labs and biotech companies who are leading in the field of gut organoid. Responsibilities will include the design and execution of experiments and the collection and analysis of samples and data related to development of in vitro stomach and intestine models for transport assays.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in biology, medicine, or a relevant scientific discipline
Extensive hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of stem cell biology
Hands-on experience and biology understanding of gut organoid is a strong plus
Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Fluent in English
3. Open rank scientist positions in Protein Chemistry Departments
Responsibilities
Spearhead development of protein-based discovery platforms for new MOAs, new molecular formats, and new drug delivery systems
Design and execute protein purification, characterization, and/or pre-formulation experiments
Provide protein chemistry expertise and input to projects and technology platforms
Function as department representative in evaluating and establishing external collaborations
Scientific network with internal and external shareholders and stakeholders
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, biophysics or relevant disciplines
Demonstrated scientific creativity such as good track record of publication and/or proposing new hypothesis driven research project
Ability to influence, communicate and collaborate across a global organization
Profound expertise in scientific field and ability to apply skills to contribute to organization strategy
Industrial experience in an R&D organization (5+ years) within protein/peptide therapeutics and/or drug discovery is preferred
Knowledge and training in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, NASH and other serious chronic disease areas are preferred
Knowledge and expertise in protein structural analysis, protein design and modelling is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
4. Open Rank Scientist in Rodent Pharmacology
Key Areas of Responsibility
Take responsibility in various project supports and discovery/validation of new therapeutic targets in areas of diabetes and obesity, by leading in vivo pharmacology studies at site. You will plan and conduct in vivo studies, set-up, develop and evaluate models based on project needs. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a scientific discipline
5-8 years research experience as Scientist or PI in research and/or development environment. Extensive experience within pharmaceutical R&D is a plus.
Demonstrated success in technical proficiency in the research field, expertise in in vivo pharmacology.
Strong background, knowledge and skillsets in metabolic disease research; experienced in diabetes and obesity animal models. Cardiovascular research experience is a plus.
Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value.
Excellent communication skills.
You need to have good communication and collaboration skills as you will play a key role in representing your expertise area in global project teams and towards colleagues at the other research sites. You are flexible, open to new ideas, ambitious, innovative and result oriented. You have a lot of individual responsibility with a high degree of personal impact in the projects. Responsibilities
Provide expertise within Molecular Biology and establish various expression systems for any protein of interest.
Application of display technologies to provide solutions for hit identification and maturation
May function as department representative in evaluating and establishing external collaborations

Qualifications
A Ph.D. in medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, biology, biotechnology, or relevant disciplines
Demonstrated scientific creativity such as good track record of publication and/or proposing new hypothesis driven research project

Demonstrated expertise in scientific field and ability to apply skills to contribute to organization strategy
Demonstrated a good understanding of different mammalian cell culture systems, transcription regulation of gene expression and gene editing mechanisms
Background in organic chemistry, particularly medicinal chemistry is a plus
Knowledge and experience in metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, NASH and CVD is a plus
Industrial experience in an R&D organization (5+ years) within protein therapeutics and/or drug discovery is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
