The three degrees 这组在拥有迷人嗓音,完美脸蛋,魔鬼身材，可说是天命真女,（Destiny's Child）的正宗师姊的三度女子合唱团（The three degrees）的来头，可能要从整个黑人乐坛的改变开始。60年代黑人音乐的势力以摩城唱片（MOTOWN）独大（歌手阵容包括Marvin Gaye,Supremes,Jackson 5,Smokey Robinson,Diana Ross,Stevie Wonder 以及 Lionel Richie 等黑人巨星），为了要改变这种寡头的音乐型态，在70年代出现了一家以费城为基地的费城唱片公司（Philadelphia），他们以不同于Motown的音乐风格，开创了费城之声（ The Sound of Philadelphia ），同名副品牌TSOP捧出三度女子合唱团，发行＜TSOP＞单曲不但成为经典，更成为唱片公司不朽的品牌形象。
