小柒第一次看到这部绘本就觉得非常适合万圣节的主题教学。万圣节期间，不少孩子喜欢装扮成小骷髅，搭配这部绘本和相关手工DIY，是不是更有节日氛围呢？
封面是一个小朋友的骨架，He's
《Dry Bones》出自一首美国黑人灵歌，来自一个圣经中的故事，建议让孩子了解背景知识就能明白绘本故事的含义。
圣经旧约以西结书里说以西结（Ezekiel）被上帝带到了一个山谷里，那里全是骸骨，非常的干。dry bones字面意思是干骨。hear the word of the lord，就是听上帝的话。
圣经原文是："Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!” 上帝让以西结对那些枯干的骨头发出预言，正在预言的时候，忽然有一阵声响和震动，然后骨头们就连接起来了。

这一幅图是小朋友的身体结构，所以这部绘本很适合身体body的英语主题教学。
The toe bone's connected to the foot bone
The foot bone's connected to the ankle bone
两个小骷髅在踢球kick a football。强调了趾骨 toe bone, 足骨 foot bone, 踝骨ankle bone
The ankle bone's connected to the leg bone
The leg bone's connected to the knee bone
骑自行车ride a bicycle 的时候主要用到这两组骨骼。

玩滑板skateboard 需要用到膝关节骨

两个小骷髅在玩扔保龄球瓶的游戏，这个运动需要髋骨hip bone, 脊柱back bone, 肩胛骨shoulder bone.

从下到上的顺序，这一页从上到下再重复一遍骨骼的链接。这首传统的美国黑人灵歌对学习身体的部分非常合适，全骨骼图告诉孩子们人类身体的主要骨骼的科学专有名词

拓展教学
这是一部出色的绘本，把绘本内容延展，可以开发不同的拓展教学活动。
今天推荐几个《Dry Bones》的拓展，让孩子学习英语的同时，和这些可爱的骨骼交朋友！
老师和家长可以让孩子学唱这首歌曲，唱唱跳跳的过程中，突然停止stop，唱到某个部位，那个部位就不能动。很像123，木头人这个游戏。
比如唱到head bone’s connected to the neck bone，那头和脖子就不能动，身体其他部位都能动，像机器人那样。
这个游戏互动性很强，不仅可以锻炼孩子听力，还可以复习各部位名词，音乐让孩子充满了力量感，气氛会很欢乐。适合班级教学和家庭亲子使用。
准备skeleton的教具，让孩子完成拼图。大班教学可以尝试分组任务。可以猜拳或其他形式，赢了就可贴部位并进行语言输出，最先完成拼图的就是赢家。
