Even without its physical store, THE BULK HOUSE will continue on bigger and better. We ain't going anywhere, just closing the store to focus on some other zero waste projects. You will still be able to get all our products online via Taobao and Weidian. We will also do bulk pop-ups around the city where you can get your refills such as shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent and many more.
Before officially closing on Wednesday, 20th March, we would love to see you again!
Reading about us for the first time? We are the first social enterprise in China that focuses on promoting zero waste. But we’re not just a shop, we are part of a community who want a zero waste future.

Come along to meet like-minded people, make some friends, make some enemies, debate the solutions to the environmental problems, ask zero wasters how they wipe their ass, ask vegans where they get their protein from, be completed bedazzled by these strange planet-hugging folks, take photos of them grazing in their natural habitat.

Also, we know you must have a lot to say to us or have questions. We have recently received many comments and would like to thank you all for your lovely words of support. Although the store is closing, we still feel very happy. We've had a great year at the Gulou store! There are so many people who recognize our values, actively introduce zero waste to others and cheer us on! (This helps me fall out of bed much more easily in the morning).

You are very welcome to bring food and drink yourself (if the place runs dry, there might be a riot, please help prevent a riot from taking place. Thank you!)
