A stroke(中风), brain tumor(肿瘤), or traumatic(外伤的) brain injury may lead to epilepsy—however, for most people, the cause is unknown.
Epilepsy can increase the risk(风险) of depression(沮丧), injuries, and even death. Although there is no cure, it can be managed with medication(药物) and lifestyle(生活方式) changes to avoid triggers(修饰), which include stress(压力) and insufficient(不足的) sleep.
If you or someone you know has experienced a seizure(没收), seek medical care. Early diagnosis(诊断) and treatment can improve the chances of controlling epilepsy(癫痫).
