tumble verb. 跌倒
★原声例句：Just like a kid, we should learn how to take our first steps, tumble and fall on our butts, and then get back up again, and take another step.

3. if...should 虚拟语气
*在表示与将来事实相反的条件从句中，谓语动词可用should do, were to do或动词的过去式三种形式表示，但意义略有不同。should表示的可能性最大，动词过去式的可能性次之，were to do 的可能性最小。
主句：主语＋would/should/might/could＋动词原形
从句：should＋动词原形/were to＋动词原形
If it should snow tomorrow, I would make a snowman.
如果明天下雪，明天我将堆一个雪人。
If it snowed tomorrow, I would make a snowman.
如果明天下雪，明天我将堆一个雪人。
If it were to snow tomorrow, I would make a snowman.
如果明天下雪，我将堆一个雪人。
4. crumble verb.
→具象：坍塌
The cliffs on which the houses are built are starting to crumble.
建着房子的悬崖开始一点点坍塌了。
→抽象：事业垮掉、精神崩溃
★原声例句：The mental wall started to crumble. I chose the word "crumbling", because breaking a mental wall is a long journey.
精神之墙开始倒塌。我用了倒塌这个词，因为精神的崩溃是一个漫长的过程。
★原声例句：There's the actual nuts and bolts, is the business going to crumble? 买卖要垮了吗？
词链儿：nuts and bolts 螺帽螺旋；微不足道的东西
