Botswana is a country in Southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast.

The capital and largest city of Botswana is Gaborone.

 The official language of Botswana is English.

The people of Botswana are called Motswana(singular) and Batswana(plural).
