Tiya 蒂亚

Tiya is UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the Soddo region of Ethiopia. It is known for its archaeological site with cave paintings, rock art, stone engravings and monuments. The sites contains 36 monuments, including 32 carved stele that rise up to 2 meters (6.5 feet) high and are covered with symbols, most of which are difficult to decipher. These steles are said to the remains of an ancient Ethiopian community, whose age has not yet been precisely determined.

Besides visitors from Kenya and Djibouti, all other nationals visiting Ethiopia must  obtain a Visa from the Ethiopian embassies in the country you are currently in.
