带你认识深高金经济学同学们

香港中文大学（深圳）高等金融研究院2017年新生招录工作即将步入尾声，部分优秀的同学已手持OFFER，期待着暑期课程的到来。为增进大家对SFI的进一步深入了解，我们特别推出《带你认识深高金同学》系列推文，分为金融学（MSF）、经济学（MSE）、会计学（MSA）三个篇章，今天是第二篇——带你认识深高金MSE同学们。一起来领略经济学理学硕士项目同学们的风采吧！

Hello everyone! My name Hechen Yu (Slark). I am from Fudan University, majored in Finance. In the past a few years, I lived in Shanghai, an international city that attracts countless talents from all over the places. I am glad to receive this opportunity from CHUK(SZ) and study in a city that very alike to Shanghai. I am interested in fundamental and industrial analysis and to become an analyst in the securities market has always been my career goal. I once interned in the Hai Tong Securities. Pubic Economics taught me many useful theories, especially in public-resource allocation and re-allocation. My passion towards Economics has been ignited by the unique politic environment in the mainland China. In the future, I wish to conduct a research that relate to green economy, for example CO2 emission trading.  Apart from study, I love to play tennis, run marathon, play video games and play board games with my friends. At last, I am looking forward to meet my new classmate, and a new chapter in the CUHK (SZ). 

来自复旦大学的虞禾棽，是一位“非典型学霸”。除精进学业外，他顺利斩获海通证券实习，忙里偷闲地做志愿者，对研究历史、政治和哲学也是乐此不疲。此外网球、长跑、打游戏也一样没耽误。他的职业规划是成为一名security analyst，有同样志趣的小伙伴可以与他交流哦。

Hello, everyone! I’m Song Jia (Catherine), and I will graduate from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) soon. Now, I would like to introduce myself in the following aspects:

Firstly, I would like to talk about my characteristics. I am a positive girl and easy to get along with. I enjoy my life every day. I like taking part in some activities such as English drama performance and leadership composition which made my college life more colorful. Also, I like making schedules and finishing every target according to my schedules.

Next, what is deserved to be mentioned is my motivation to choose economics instead of English. When I was a freshman in HIT, I didn’t consider too much about my future career. But for study, I never gave up and I always kept myself in the top five in our grade. I hoped one day the good academic performance could provide me another chance for my future and it could be a springboard in the future. Three months ago, I received an offer from a bank in Beijing. After working for a period of time there, I really thought it was an interesting field. But I found I knew too less specialized knowledge even though I could finish the job. Therefore, I resigned for advanced study. After searching on the Internet, I decided to choose CUHKSZ which provides excellent resources for students who are interested in economics. I admire the academic atmosphere, amazing cultural diversity, cutting-edge education and discovery in CUHKSZ.

Meanwhile, I hope I can find out the right direction in economics and be given the chance to get doctor degree. I know choosing a new field is a great challenge to me and I am currently inferior to others in math or economics now, but I also believe challenge must give me more possibilities.

I’m looking forward to meeting new friends in CUHKSZ, hoping we can help with each other. Wish everyone have a wonderful and unforgettable experience in CUHKSZ!

北京大学 - 经济学 （双学位）

I am Jasmine Li. I will get my double bachelor degree from the National School of Development at Peking University soon, majored in Economics. It is with great honor that I will join in the Master of Science in Economics programme at CUHK(SZ) this September.

Born and raised in Shenzhen, I am always proud of how young, enthusiastic and embracing this city is. It barely took me one minute to decide to come back here when I found that Shenzhen is building a top university that has my favorite subject.

It has always been my pursuit to devote myself to academic research in economics. Natural science often uses controlled experiment-produced data to demonstrate theories, while Economics as a social science has set the “lab” into the vast economic society. Shenzhen imposes few limits on mobility, creativity, and innovation, which has turned Shenzhen into one of the world's most dynamic cities, providing abundant cases for academic research in economics. 

I believe under the guidance of esteemed professors with impeccable academic credentials and practical experience paralleled with abundant opportunities supported by Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI), we shall be in perfect hands to prepare ourselves for any challenges coming ahead.

即将毕业于北京大学的李丹丹同学，有着一份金光闪闪的履历，她曾在法国兴业银行实习，并在亚太经合组织(APEC)第三高级官员会议中担任语言服务志愿者。她还是一位土生土长的深圳人，开学了请她带你走街串巷，领略深圳风采吧！

接下来为大家介绍几位已有丰富工作经验的同学。他们在职场历练已久，业已取得不俗成就，他们中有投资经理，有项目经理，有市场经理，人才荟萃，钟灵毓秀。

龙琨丽

My name is Long, Kunli. I got my bachelor of engineering in Sun Yat-sen University and master in Energy Engineering and Thermal Science in CUHK in 2013. And now I work in Juno Capital as a manager of investment department, mainly in charge of investment analysis. I have conducted the investment researches in Southeast, looking for the opportunities there. So I would like to know their economy development trend, which is my intention to seek for further knowledge in Economics. After a few more years of working experience in investment, I hope to run a foundation to help children in Northwest in the future. As an alumni, I can say that CUHK is an international university with top faculty. You will never regret your choice. I am looking forward to communicating with new classmates of ambition and aspiration. China’s economy development will still be explosive, even though we are facing several huge challenges. Hence, opportunities are still open, hopefully that in the coming age of AI, some of us will be the shock troopers. 

作为一名投资经理，龙琨丽同学已经参与了无数项目，身经百战。尽职调查、股权谈判、制定可行性分析报告，都是她的强项。她曾负责跟进在印尼、马来西亚、缅甸等国家的投资调查，与当地合作伙伴建立了良好的商务关系。她说，“I always exert the best of me at every stage.” 这也许就是她成功的秘诀。

Hello, everyone! My name is Huangbin. I graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, majoring in Business Administration. After graduation, I have working experiences both in commercial banking and in investment banking industry. I think that finance is an art of order and law: models and numbers combine and compose the profile of a society, clearly and precisely. And also, finance is a powerful instrument with which we can create great value and make a real difference. On the basis of my banking experience, I hope that I could have a higher and wider vision of finance and grasp a whole picture of the running of the China's economy. Therefore, the Master of Science in Economics programme at CUHK(SZ) is so attractive: a comprehensive academic training of economic principles, associated with practical usage. Look forward to seeing you in the near future, can't wait to share and to be inspired in the class.

Hello, everyone! I am Shanshan Xu, after being admitted to my dream school, I have the chance to share something with you, and I cherish for you the liveliest feeling of gratitude.
 
After achieving my master degree in Science and Engineering, I worked for three years and then made one of the biggest decision for me -- to apply for the MSc in Economics Programme in CUHKSZ, in order to lay the groundwork for my future career. On the one hand, I am keen on Economics, such as studying the following practical issue: being a peddler to sell small goods versus being a vendor with wholesaler and so forth. I enjoy thinking from the economic viewpoint and explaining what I have seen and experienced using economic theories and knowledge. Society is the best school for people but knowledge you've had makes you go far. On the other hand, I need to build more comprehensive and flexible frame of knowledge to support crossover thinking and cooperation in modern commercial society. I dream of being an industry analyst and making contribution to the community and to the economy as a whole by investing promising manufacturing companies or high-tech firms in the future. So I am convinced that CUHK (SZ), which has rich academic resources and provides an excellent platform to its students, is the best choice for me. In addition, I am eager to study with my talented classmates together and to have a brilliant time of my new school life there. 

“Until now I have three years colorful work experience”.徐珊珊同学的工作经历的确可以用 colorful 形容。以前5%的绩点毕业的她，第一份工作是一家高级女装公司，与毕业于哈佛大学、剑桥大学等全球名校的同事们一同工作，积累了许多宝贵的经验。之后她放弃了这份令人艳羡的工作，供职于深圳航天科技研究院。她说，“Feelings are really GPS for life”.

Hi everyone! I am Huang Yiming. I graduated from Sichuan University and majored in Software Engineering. After graduation, I worked in Beijing for two years as a python programmer. And after a period of study and thinking, I have a clearer career goal. I quit my job to pursue my dream. The four-year university and two-year working life is a process of recognition. The application of economy model is exciting. An economy model with high efficiency can replace the tedious and complex organization. I adore the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and it's my honor to be one of them. Although the university is in small size, the students and professors here spread the open spirit and have an inclusive style of study. I'm looking forward to having a meaningful and happy life in the coming time.

黄一鸣同学是一位工科生，他和他的同学们曾研发出一款类似于怪物猎人的网络游戏，获得了两万次下载。这位工科男在工作后对经济学萌发了兴趣，在工作之余每周去中国科学院旁听经济学课程，最后 “I quit my job to pursue my dream”. 为追梦的人点赞！
