在柬埔寨的那些日子（9）

柬埔寨王国，实行的是君主立宪制。有西哈努克家族世袭的王室，有权倾一时的中南半岛强人洪森首相，有执政党把持的议会（经常出现无其他党派议员参加表决通过一些国家大政方针的现象）。

但对于普通民众来说，法定节假日真多，一年当中，加上周末休息，差不多一半都可以带薪休假（是否带薪，在于资本家执行劳工法的自觉性了）。

这里，说说一个与中国清明节类似的节日，亡人节。

0	The Pchum Ben  Festival
1-1	Pchum Ben is a religious ceremony which is  celebrated after the full moon in the tenth month of Phatraboth.
1-2	Traditionally,it lasts for fifteen days but it is  the final day that is the most important.
1-3	Pchum Ben is the occasion when people  remember their ancestors.
1-4	The word"ben"refers to the  balls of rice which people decicate to their ancestors during the festival.
1-5	As well as these ball of rice,each  household prepares many kinds of food.
1-6	When the food has been prepared,it is  taken to the pagoda together with incense,candles and flowers and given to  the monks.
1-7	The monks then offer prayers to the  Buddha for all those who have died.
2-1	Buddhists believe that after we have  died our spirit ,or mind,will be born again.
2-2	Those who have led a good life will be  born into a happy world,but those who have committed harmful sins will be  born into an unhappy world.
2-3	We call the happy  world"heaven" and the unhappy one "hell".
2-4	The Pchum Ben Festival is held for those  who suffer in hell,but who are let out during Pchum Ben in order to receive  the gifts that are dedicated to them.
3	柬埔寨亡人节，作为一个国家级宗教与民间节日，用来纪念祖先，类似于中国清明节，只是有着浓厚的宗教色彩。
4	该节日自华人中秋节后的第一天开始至农历8月的最后一天。在佛历便是10月1日至15日。
5	在亡人节期间，从王国首相至普通百姓，一般都去佛寺布施。人们都相信，布施越多，积福越多。
