Warm Winter

There’re so many reasons to love winter,

maybe it’s the holiday spirit, 

or maybe it’s because you can 

hold a cup of hot cocoa 

in a cozy blanket.

Although there's little distinction between the four seasons in Shenzhen, and we can't feel the snowflakes falling on our cheeks, our love for winter is the same. 

We’re going to recommend some winter-related music and musicals to warm you up at the beginning of winter!

Neo Retros is a rock band from Warsaw, Poland. The lead singer’s lazy voice accompanied by a gentle melody is as bright as a sunny day in early winter.

November Rain

Guns N’ Roses unleashed their sensitive side in this classic masterpiece, and they just premiered a new 2022 version of this song a few days ago, featuring sweeping strings and sublime symphonic sounds. Walking in the November rain while Axl Rose’s phenomenal voice hums in your ears, surely enough you’ll have a different feeling.

When winter comes

“When summer's gone

The original inspiration for the song was in the 1970s when the Beatles was falling apart. This song is mainly based on his observations on a farm in the countryside and Paul sings about the search for sunshine and warmth out on a winter’s day.

Rent

For many musical theater-goers, “Rent” is a perfect match to begin winter. 

The story is about a group of young people living in a rented house in New York. Some of them may not afford to pay the rent, and some of them may suffer from sickness, but they always have each other. With love, friendship, and dreams in them, they have the power to beat out the cold winter.

Frozen

When the intro of “Let It Go” is played, we all feel like being in the frozen castle in “Frozen”. 

After the animated movie was released in 2013, the musical version of “Frozen” landed on Broadway in 2018 and immediately became a great success. The gorgeous and exquisite ice and snow special effects, the adventures of Anna and Elsa, and the fantastic costumes give the audience a lot of bang for the buck!

The Mousetrap

Just like Andrew Wyeth puts it, “I prefer winter and fall... something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show.” Many mysterious stories are set in winter, like the classic series of Agatha Christie's plays. "The Mousetrap"is just a typical suspense play in the "Blizzard Hill" mode. 

A confined space, a group of people gathered together, a murder occurs in such an environment, and the people are unable to contact the outside world for all kinds of reasons. The story of "The Mousetrap" takes place on a snowy night when a group of people with their own stories come together to witness the murder.
