PKUSZ hosts running race, celebrates north-south collaboration
Oct. 15
On October 15, participants of the PKUSZ running race, including students, faculty, and alumni, converged on the playground of PKUSZ. The race symbolized the north-south collaboration between the Yanyuan campus in Beijing and the Nanyan campus in Shenzhen, as both campuses live-streamed the event and started the race simultaneously.

Dai Jinhua delivers lectures, holds dialogues with PKUSZ students
Oct. 15
On October 15, in a salon event, Dai Jinhua, a Humanities Professor at Peking University and Director of the university’s Film and Culture Research Center, engaged in a face-to-face dialogue with students and faculties of PKUSZ. On October 16, Professor Dai also delivered an insightful lecture themed “Love and Fear in the Digital Age”, with over 700 audience registering the lecture.

PHBS holds 2023 Corporate Cooperation Forum and Career Fair
Oct. 18
Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) hosted its 2023 Corporate Cooperation Forum and Career Fair on October 18, with 45 partner companies in the finance sectors, school leaders, professors, and student representatives attending. From Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other cities all over the country, 49 exceptional employers convened at PHBS to actively seek talent at the career fair, offering employment opportunities.

PKUSZ Graduate Student Union bonds with counterparts from Sun Yat-sen University
Oct. 13
On October 13, a delegate team composed by members from Sun Yat-sen University Graduate Student Union visited PKUSZ, as both sides hoped to strengthen cooperation and interaction, collectively explore ways to enhance support for the student community, and promote ongoing advancements in student education and training.

Academicians to discuss scientific innovation at PKUSZ
Oct. 23
On October 23, academicians and experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, will be invited to discuss scientific innovation and share their opinions on academic research at PKUSZ. PKU Vice President, PKUSZ Chancellor Zhang Jin will preside over the talk.

PHBS to welcome alumni back home as 19th anniversary approaches
Oct. 28
PHBS is preparing to welcome its past graduates, now alumni, around the world to come back and celebrate its 19th anniversary on October 28. According to PHBS, an alumni representative meeting will also be held on the day.

PHBS to hold masquerade, registration now open
Nov.4
The 9th PHBS Masquerade is scheduled to take place on November 4, commencing at 18:30 at PHBS Auditorium. The event is organized by the the school's student union and is now open for registration until October 25 midnight.

PKUSZ to offer mock exams for potential civil servants
Oct. 22
PKUSZ Graduate Student Union will be arranging a mock exam for potential civil servants at PKUSZ on October 22. It is in collaboration with PKU Graduate Student Union as an effort to facilitate graduate employment.

Tang Junqing: AI and digital governance integration enhances city resilience
Assistant Professor Tang Junqing from School of Urban Planning and Design (SUPD) and Professor Zhao Pengjun’s research team published their research paper in National Science Review. In this research paper titled Resilience Patterns of Human Mobility in Response to Extreme Urban Floods, the team unveiled the resilient characteristics and heterogeneous patterns of human mobility behavior in response to extreme urban flooding disasters.

The dormitory that makes their way together into PKUSZ
The newly upgraded dormitory at Yanyuan Building No.1 this fall welcomed three new students at the School of Environment and Energy (SEE) at PKUSZ: Gao Yuehao, Jiang Yuan, and Chen Shaocong, who, coincidentally, have shared a common dormitory at Xiamen University, their undergraduate university, for the past four years. Now, as their friendship continues, they are ready to embark on new academic journeys here at PKUSZ.

Quan Junmin research group publishes research paper on Nature Communications
Professor Quan Junmin’s research group at PKUSZ, in partnership with a team from Sun Yat-sen University, has recently published a paper on Nature Communications. The paper is titled Development of Cyclopeptide Inhibitors of cGAS Targeting Protein-DNA Interaction and Phase Separation.

Pan Feng and Yang Luyi research group publishes paper on Nature Communications
The study titled Revealing the aging process of solid electrolyte interphase on SiOx anode was recently published in the renowned journal Nature Communications. Professor Pan Feng and Associate Researcher Yang Luyi from PKUSZ are the corresponding authors of this paper.

Associate Professor Li Kai publishes paper on Journal of Corporate Finance
Associate Professor Li Kai from PHBS and his co-authors recently published their collaborative paper titled Leased capital and the investment-q relation on Journal of Corporate Finance.
