How to Link a Bank Card to WeChat
Nowadays Internet shopping have been one of the most important and convenient way of shopping in China. From buying clothes to ordering food, you can all do it with a simple click from your mobile phone.
But to buy things, you have to use a client, such as Alipay or WeChat wallet. Not just for paying, but Even for JOINING WeChat GROUPS, which have more than 100 members, you need to have your bank card setup in WeChat.

1Open your WeChat and find “ME” at the lower right corner of the window.
2In the “Me” option, search for the word “Wallet”. If you have registered your WeChat ID under your Chinese phone number, “Wallet” must appear. As WeChat registered by using other countries phone numbers are not supported. You can still try by changing your WeChat language to Chinese if wallet does not appear.
3Under the "Wallet" option, see for the word "cards"
4Click on Add a Card Option.
5Please enter your bank card number and press Next

6After you entered your Card Number correctly, mostly your card type is chosen automatically. If not, please choose your card type. After that, enter your name you also mentioned on the registration paper of the bank. The name must be excatly the same.
7Please select your ID Type.
8Select passport if you registered your Bank Card using Passport.
9Enter your ID number / Passport number
10Enter your phone number you used while registering your bank card in China. Please remember the Phone Number must be exactly the Same you used while Registering for the bank.
11After entering the phone number, Accepting the terms and conditions, and clicking on Next, you will be send a 6 Digit Verification Code to the Phone number (Registered with Bank).
12The WeChat will ask you to set a 6 digit code in order to use it as a Passcode for purchases (You can later choose the fingerprint scanner for purchases in iPhone).
13If all the setup is successful, you can see your bank card in the “ Cards” menu. After all this, you are ready to use our bank to transfer money and buy things from the internet.
