Welcome to My Hometown to Enjoy 2018 Chinese New Year is a Couch Surfing Program organized by CET, it is a nonprofit program which CET has organized over 3 years: 2015/2016/2017, now it is time to 2018.

CouchSurfers share their homes, cities and lives in profound in meaningful ways, making travel anywhere in the world, a truly social experience.

We follow the idea of couch surfing, but it is a real culture exchange trip for both of you and Chinese students. You need to spend your time with the Chinese students in their family, usually a teenager or college boys or girls (Only taliking during the daily life, no teaching ).

They are going to be your local guides and local sponsers during your traveling in their cities, and they will provide you with free accommodation and food when you live in their home in exchange of your language proficiency. If the tourist attraction is too far away from their home that you have to stay outside, food and accommodation fee is AA.

By far, CET already post more than 50 hosts informations from H1 to H54, you can send this kind of words such as" H1" "H2" and so on to our wechat offcial account to get their contacts, after add their wechat you can apply to be their guest.

My home is in FengXin, a country near the provincial capital of Jiangxi; Andduring the Spring Festival, I will go to my father’s old home, a smalltraditional village of Chingtechen. 

As you know, Chingtechen is the "PorcelainCapital" of China, has a long history and a magnificent culture. It islocated on the south of the Yangtze, between the Huangshan Mountain range andthe plains of Poyang Lake. 

It is one of the four famous towns in Chinesehistory, designated one of the first 24 famous Chinese cities of historical andcultural interests and a first-rate city opening to the foreigners by China'sState Council.

Nanchang is a famous historical and cultural city with a history of over 2200 years. Ithas been enjoying the honor of “a given land abundant in natural resources andoutstanding in producing talented figures”. 

Moreover, Nanchang is a heroic citywith glorious revolutionary tradition. The People’s Liberation Army was bornhere and “the August 1st Spirit” appeared here. In addition, Nanchang is ascenic and environment-friendly city with beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes. 

The Gan River passes through the city from south to north and the wholecity is dotted with rivers and lakes. At the outskirts of the city you can seegreen mountains.

Feb14, 2018  we will take train or bus to myfather’s old home.

Feb 15, 2018  I will take you to my ancestral house, which has hundreds of yearhistory and is culturalrelic now.

Feb 16-19, 2018   we will show you around thevillage and take part in the activities of the SpringFestival.

Feb 20, 2018  I will take you to Chingtechen and visit the place of producing porcelain and Fuliang’sancient official place.

Feb 21, 2018  we will take train to Hero City, Nanchang, the provincial capitalof Jiangxi. Then I will take you to some famous attractions and lively shopping street.

My travelarrangement  doesn’t have a lot oflimits. my plan is about 3 days, but if you enjoy traveling with me, you canstay here for more days.

On the first day, youcan try local food in my hometown. They are very delicious and cheap. If you don’tlike Chinese local food, absolutely I will go to a restaurant with you or cookin my home. Me and my family are good at cook, hah.

And we will go shopping,have a visit at Chinese small shops.

The second day, Iwill  show you around my school. I’m surethe children will like you. They are very friendly, maybe they will a littleshy to talk with you ,but  you will likeeach other after chatting. You can try the meals in a school.

The third day, we can goto a park or a cinema, I can ask many friends, they can be your friends ,too.and I can teach you how to cook Chinese dishes, hah.

If you have extra time,we can visit more places. You can go to my hometown, a countryside to visit myrelatives with me ,I m sure they will like you. Chinese countryside are usually poor, but you can feel the purest Chinesetraditional culture. Don’t worry about the language because I can be yourtranslate.

Then if you likespending time with me, we can do more interesting things together.

Day1(2.18) In the morning, we go to visit my grandma and enjoy the breakfast ofFuzhou, Fujian Province. In the afternoon, we visit Sanming of Yongan and enjoythe scenery of Yongan Stone Forest. Then we go to the Ningxia Hakka ancestralland and Ninghua Swan hole karst landform. 

As for the dinner, we will eat Hakkasnacks. And at night we return to Sanming City and go to Sanming Night Market,Ruiyun Mountain and feel the authentic Sanming life.

Day2(2.19) In the morning: we head for Shaxian to enjoy authentic Shaxian snacks.And in the afternoon: we go to Taining and visit to Dajin lake and Shangshudi.We will eat Taining snacks for supper. Then we return to Sanming.

Day3(2.20) Depart to Zhangzhou and see the ancient buildings (living clouds nearthe Ballad).

Day4(2.21) Visit Xiamen, Gulangyu, Xiamen University and other famous attractions.

I come from Shenzhen. And I live near a very famous golf club called MissionHills.[观澜湖高尔夫] In MH mall, I can take you to play bowling andgo skiing on the rink( the ice is real!) 【Guanlan original printmaking base】 (lf you areinterested in art, especially print[版画], I willtake you there and it's only 15 minutes bus drive from my home. 

Except forprint, you will also know what a traditional village is like )   OCT East[东部华侨城]or HappyValley[欢乐谷](you can choose one of them to go, because bothhave some similar activities like Top-speed Roller Coaster, U-shape slide andso on)personally, I think OCT East is more beautiful and good for sightseeing  OCT Harbour ( It's a prettyplace, with different style of architecture. 

There are bars with musicaltheme,many restaurants and also a big shopping mall. There is a big light showby the lake.)  The Window of the world. (It has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractionsin the world,like One-third scale replica of the Eiffel Tower and so on) Thereare some other tourists such as China Folk Culture Village, Happy Valley, etc.

You can choose the place you want to go. Since Shenzhen is a coastal city, wecan also go to the beach if you want to.  Plus: one-day trip in HongKong or one-day trip in Macau.( It only takesabout two hours or so to go to HongKong from my home, so we can arrange onemore day to visit there. )  Time is flexible and we get many places to visit, so I didn't give the specificschedule for it. 

We can have a discussion before making a more detailed plan.As for the time, 4 or 5 days are Ok. Hope to make friends with you!!

Day1: Visit the pedestrian street (Drum Tower, Sijia Building, Jade CultureExhibition) and eat at Fung Lin Court for lunch (Datong's most characteristichotel, enjoy the flowers of wheat). Then visit Huayan Temple. And Lao Datonghotpot for dinner

Day2: Visit Ancient City Walls in Datong (there are Folk Customs Exhibitions andSales in Recent Years). And we eat Oriental Macaroni for lunch (Datong's BestSpecial Pasta). And go to Nine Dragon Walls. Then eat specialties for Dinner

Day3: Read and chatting at home, if you like we can do manual work together. Asfor lunch and dinner, my mom will make special food (dumplings, noodles,pancakes, bean noodles)

CET (Culture Exchange Trip) is a student self-organized group aimed to create more opportunities for young people from all over the world to have more chances to communicate in different ways. We want to make friends in more fantastic way like outdoor and indoor activities

Welcome to My Hometown to Enjoy 2018 Chinese New Year is a Couch Surfing Program organized by CET, it is a nonprofit program which CET has organized over 3 years: 2015/2016/2017, now it is time to 2018.

By now, Couch surfing program is still not widely accepted in most Chinese cites especially in some small towns where English guildes is still not available for everyone yet.

The original aim of setting up CET is to create more opportunities for people from different background to know each other in more diverse activities and it has to be affordable for everyone.

Now, we want to do something different.

We follow the idea of couch surfing, but it is a real culture exchange trip for both of you and Chinese students. You need to spend your time with the Chinese students in their family, usually a teenager or college boys or girls (Only taliking during the daily life, no teaching ).

They are going to be your local guides and local sponsers during your traveling in their cities, and they will provide you with free accommodation and food when you live in their home in exchange of your language proficiency. If the tourist attraction is too far away from their home that you have to stay outside, food and accommodation fee is AA.

We have to admitted that there are something we can never learn from language program in campus unless we can spend some time with local people or native speaker for language. It would a good experience to understand real China in a Chinese family, instead of spending your time just in campus in Beijing. 

CET not only wants to improve local Chinese students' English learning environment, but also provides the foreign students with Free or Half Free Deep-tour to China, and leads the foreign learners to experience the most primitive and simple local culture, giving you a deeper understanding of the traditional culture of China.
