HelpX | One More Chinese Friend to Make Your Life More Convenient

CET (Culture Exchange Trip) is a student self-organized group aimed to create more opportunities for young people from all over the world to have more chances to communicate in different ways. We want to make friends in more fantastic way like outdoor and indoor activities

“Help Exchange”, or “HelpX” is a new program organized by CET, following the Couch Surfing Program : Welcome to my hometown to enjoy the CNY, aimed to create more opportunities for foreigners and chinese to communicate、 know each others and make friends. 

"Help you is to help me".

As a foreigner living in China, inescapably, you may have all kinds problem happening in your life (If you just stay in the room everyday, I have nothing to say). Some will be not a big deal, it just costs time and you can solve it by yourself. But some will be very urgent, you will have big loss if you couldnt solve it immediatly.

For example:

This is what happened on my foreign friend a few days ago, she left her bag on the DiDi and the taxi had gone, she felt helpless and alomst wanted to give up, just becasue she couldnt speak fluent Chinese with the Chinese dirver. 

And luckily she asked me to help. As a chinese, I know how to get it back from the driver and also know what to do if the driver didnt want to return. Becasue this problem is so normal that almost happens everyday on Chinses.

So on this point, we think one more Chinese friend can make your life more convenient.

(Actually I also helped a French girl who lost her passport when she was travelling in Guangzhou and couldnt check in any hotel in the midnight in march)

On the other hand, as i talked to many foreign friends: most chinese students have learnt English for more than 10 years starting from primary school borned after 1990 but most of us couldnt have the chance to use it daily. 

We have to admit what we learned couldnt be used. Day by day, all will be forgotten.

Help you is also to help me.

The original aim of setting up CET is to create more opportunities for people from different background to know each other in more diverse activities and it has to be affordable for everyone.

Now, we want to make it more easier.

Every foreigner can have the chance to apply for your Chinese helper,  CET is willing to find more Chinese join in our HelpX program. And we will let you match your helper by your willing. If you think the one is not suitable to you, you can say no, CET will keep on searching for you. Once you find your helper, text us so that we can know.

If the arrangement are agreed upon by both sides, this relationship will last two week, two weeks later both you and your helper can choose to stop or continue. 

CET not only wants to improve local Chinese students' English learning environment, but also leads the foreign learners to experience the most primitive and simple local culture from local chinese, giving you a deeper understanding of the traditional culture of China.

We creats the opportunity to connect foreigners and Chinese, you can be his/her language parter, he/she can be your chinses teacher as well. Not only problem solver or chinses translator.
