Yesanpo ( 野三坡) is a charming cluster of villages and gateway to some spectacular peaks just over the Hebei border. Nestled in a less-frequented stretch of mountain country than throbbing Shidu, Yesanpo is home to some spectacular mountain-based tourism, most of which is has been left to impress in comparatively natural condition.

Yesanpo Scenic Area encompasses several major tourism nodes including Bailixia Gorge, the Juma River, Baicaopan Forest, Yugu Cave and more. Realistically, one day won’t be enough time to cover all that Yesanpo has to offer, but if you leave Beijing early enough you should be able to squeeze a traipse around Bailixia Gorge and a lurk through Yugu Cave into a proper go-getting day trip.

The main event in Yesanpo, and therefore the busiest, is Bailixia Gorge – a 50km maze of stunning rock formations, valleys and peaks. Visitors can grade their experience according to fitness, with a 2,800-step climb to the tallest section of the gorge a highlight for those willing.

A few clicks along the highway by car (negotiate for one at the car park if you don’t have a driver) is Yugu Cave (Yugudong, 鱼谷洞). While seasoned spelunkers mightn’t get a massive kick out of Yugu’s manicured pathways and stairs, the cave is nonetheless an exhilarating 40-minute journey from start to finish. The neon lights spotlighting the cave’s more interesting formations are strangely effective, and if you time it right you’ll be by yourself for the entire eerie walk; as if simply being in Hebei wasn’t eerie enough.

Yesanpo National Park is a hot tourist attraction in Hebei Province that has an area of over 600 square kilometers. It is a natural park with mountains, rivers, springs, natural caves, and forests. It consists of 7 scenic spots, including Baili (a hundred li, about 31 miles) Gorge, Juma River, Baicaopan Forest and Jinhua Mountain

Baili Xia

Bailixia is a national 5A level scenic spot. National Geopark. Baili Gorge is currently the largest and most peculiar landscape in the country. . The Baili Gorge is composed of three twists and turns of the valley. The three canyons are 105 miles long, and the “Balixia” is named after it. It is a place to go to the wild Sanpo.

Known as the "first gorge in the world", Baili Gorge is one of the unique scenic spots of Yesanpo. Located in Qigezhuang Village, Yesanpo Town, Lianshui County, Hebei Province, the total area of Bailixia is 110 square kilometers. It is bordered by Fangshan District of Beijing and 115 kilometers away from the center of Beijing. It is one of the most dazzling pearls in Beijing's tourist attractions. .

Bailixia has also been used as a location for CCTV's "Three Kingdoms", "Red Cliff", "Looking for Qin", "Xiao Shilang" and many other film and television dramas.

The peaks in the canyon stand, the mountains are deep, the canyons are deep, the creeks are wild, the wild animals and plants are all over the gullies, and the ecological environment is primitive and natural. Over the years, Bailixia has shown the complex landscape, the steep mountains and the original pure natural landscape for the tourists, and it has lived up to the reputation of “the first gorge in the world”.

Trip Schedule

• 07:20 Set off to Scenic Spot

• No stop during the ride, please drink less water on the bus, it is hard to find a toilet on the way, before you get on our bus, go to toilet firstly.

• 10:30 Arrive Scenic Spot

• 11：00  Climb the mountain and take a tour of the beautiful Baili Gorge; watch the tiger's mouth, the first line of the sky, and look back at Guanyin. Good physical strength can climb the whole mountain, feel tired and can take a shuttle bus or cable car;

16:30 Go back to Beijing
