一起打电话给SB147委员会！反对禁止中国人买房，扼杀SB147！
昨天上午，达拉斯的热心华人给德州议会打电话，了解到了SB147未来几个月的流程。
可以看出来，如果不采取任何行动，在四次投票中，SB147都是几乎100%会被通过（因为每个环节都是GOP占优）。所以，目前非常重要的是游说所有Texas Senate和House的议员。
我们先来了解一下SB147可能会经历的时间线：
大概在 1 月 31 日，德克萨斯州参议院将为该SB147 法案组建一个SB147 委员会（由副州长DAN PATRICK指派/组织）。
大概在 2月07日之前 ，证人将被允许参加会议作证。 这是公民表达您的担忧的绝佳机会。
大概在 2 月 14 日之前SB147 法案委员会将投票，必须过半数才算通过。然后这个Bill会被送到Texas Senate 德州参议院Floor
大概在 2月28日 或3 月初，参议院（共和党（19）民主党（12））将投票，必须过半数才算通过
大概在3月15日，众议院将成立法案委员会来审议这个SB147法案
大概在3月22日，，众议院委员会将投票，必须过半数才算通过。然后这个bill被送到Texas House 众议院Floor投票
大概在3 月 30 日，众议院（共和党（86）民主党（64））将投票，必须过半数才算通过。
大概在4月15日，SB147法案将交给德州州长签署
现在形势已经万分紧急了，除了昨天我们发的微信推文，倡议大家联系本地区的德州议员，

我们还能根据时间线的进度，进行针对性的联系。
1月底之前，德州副州长会组织一个5-8人的SB147 bill committee, 先进行第一轮投票。我们现在需要做的是尽量让这个bill在这一轮被毙掉。
第一步：
通过这个链接https://wrm.capitol.texas.gov/home，可以找到你所对应的Texas Senator议员。我们需要更多的人给Texas Senators打电话和在网上留言。如果有时间的朋友，也可以多联系几个Texas Senators。
给Texas Senator发信只能在其个人网站上发送online form，每个Texas Senator的电话汇总信息在文末，电话效果比邮件更好。
第二步：
给德州副州长DAN PATRICK留言，他是负责组织SB147 Senate委员会的人。

Please vote no to SB147
I am writing you this email to formally and strongly protest the proposed bill coded S. B. No. 147.
This bill is not different to the notorious Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, which was repealed in 1943 and officially condemned by the United States Congress in 2011.
This bill is also not different to the notorious Alien Land Law of 1913, which was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1952. This bill is also not different to many other laws against Asian-Americans, all of which our country has recognized as impermissible racial discrimination and human rights violation.
This bill, if passed, will expressly deprive many legal immigrants' rights, including but not limited to the right granted by the Fair Housing Act (In the sale of housing, it is illegal discrimination to refuse to rent or sell housing, or make housing unavailable, because of national origin); the right of free association guaranteed by the First Amendment. For the reasons stated above and for many more reasons that cannot all be identified in this short email, S.B. No. 147 will take this country back by almost a century to one of the darkest periods of our history—the segregation era. Therefore, I, as a voter in your district, strongly urge that you vote against S.B. No. 147.

上来跟大家分享下我跟senator Charles Schwertner办公室打电话的经验，电话很快被接起来了。我说我想跟议员表达下我对SB-147的concern，大致表达下自己的观点和愤怒最后跟接线员说下请帮我转达给议员，I’ll appreciate it。接线员问了下我的名字就结束了通话。整个过程大概两分钟左右。如果大家还想多说点可以畅所欲言，意思到位就可以。
