探究一 there be句型的用法
例句: Is there a bank near here? 这附近有银行吗？（P45）
【探究点睛】
1. “there+be+sb. /sth. +地点”表示“某处有某人或某物”。be动词必须和主语保持人称和数的一致。当主语部分是两个及以上的并列主语时, be动词一般和邻近的主语的人称和数保持一致。
2. there be句型变为一般疑问句时须把be提到句首。
3.其肯定回答是：“Yes, there is.”或“Yes, there are.”，否定回答是：“No, there isn’t.”或“No, there aren’t.”。

1. north此处作形容词意为“北方的”。
There is a north window in my room.
我的房间有一个朝北的窗户。
2. north还可作名词，意为“北;北方”。
Most workers in the company are from the north.
这个公司的大部分工人来自北方。
3. 表示“在……的方位”，介词用in。
in the south/north/east/west of 在……的南/北/东/西方
