【课前预习】
一、用所给词的适当形式填空。

探究三、 语法精析——定语从句
定语从句是指在复合句中用来修饰某一名词或代词的从句。定语从句通常位于它修饰的名词或代词之后,被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。能引导定语从句的词,如that, which, who叫关系代词,且置于先行词和定语从句之间起联系作用,同时又是定语从句的一个成分。
例如: I like music [that I can dance to.]
She likes musicians [who play different kinds of music.]
解析:例句中,打括号的句子就是定语从句,music 和musicians 是被修饰的词,所以是先行词,that 和who是引导定语从句的关系代词。
探究四、观察例句,总结定语从句的用法。
1. 关系引导词的选择。
a) I love music that / which I can sing along with.
b) She likes musicians who play different kinds of music.
c) I want to buy something that I like.
总结:如果先行词是指人,关系代词可用______。如果先行词指物,关系代词可用______或______。如果先行词是不定代词,关系代词只能用_______.
2. 关系代词在定语从句中的作用。

I love music. | I love music (which/that ) I can sing along with. (宾语) |

总结:关系代词who, which, that 在定语从句中既可以作 也可以作 。 |
3. 定语从句中的谓语动词的时态
a) The boy who sits in front of me is Tom.
b) This is the house which we bought last month.
c) Is this the first film that you have seen since you came here?
d) Do you know the boy who is standing under the tree?
总结:定语从句的时态取决于_________________________________ .
探究五、小结训练。在规定的时间内完成一个小练习。并请若干学生给出自己的答案。有错误的话及时纠正。(2分钟)
