Construction of DG Metro Line 2 phase III to begin 地铁2号线三期要动工了

东莞的小伙伴们,地铁2号线三期最新进展来了!将由8个站点增加至9个站点。据了解,目前该工程已经开始了初勘工作。


"The Public Notice Regarding Public Comments on Social Stability Risk Analysis for the Phase III Project of Dongguan Metro Line 2 (Humen Railway Station (excluding) to Jiaoyiwan Station)" was published on the official website of the Dongguan Development and Reform Bureau.



According to the Notice, the Phase III Project of Dongguan Metro Line 2 (Humen Railway Station (excluding) to Jiaoyiwan Station) is about 17.3 kilometers. Except for the southern section of Humen Railway Station, which is an elevated rail, the remaining track goes underground. The underground section is 16.848 kilometers long, and the elevated section is about 0.25 kilometers long. The transition section is about 0.202 kilometers long. There are 9 stations, all of which are underground stations, including 4 transfer stations, with an average interval between stations of 1.9 kilometers. The project's total investment is about 14.216 billion RMB, and the construction period is around 54 months.








The preparatory work of Dongguan Metro Line 2 phase III (Humen Section) has begun.


In terms of the direction, the announcement shows that the phase III of Line 2 runs from Humen Railway Station, the terminal of phase I and Phase II line, along Guantai Road in the southeast, connecting to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity and Humen Port railway extension, eventually arriving at Humen Liansheng Road in the south. 


Humen North Station is located at the intersection of Liansheng Road and Guihua Road, while Humen Avenue Station is on the west side of Humen Park. On the north side of Jinjie Road intersection, it is Humen Jinjie Road Station, and Humen Guangming Road Station is located on the north side of the junction of Liansheng South Road and Binhai Avenue.



Then the line goes south, passing through the Humen Flyover of Yanjiang Expressway and reaching Binhaiwan New Area. At Binhaiwan Station, it will be possible to transfer to Shenzhen-Maoming High-speed Railway. The next station is Qingchuangcheng Station at the Guihua Road intersection and the Hong Kong-Macao Wharf Station on the south side of the intersection of Binhai Avenue, which is next to the Hong Kong-Macao Wharf. The line spreads along Binhaiwan Avenue and has Jiaoyiwan West Station on the west side of Binhaiwan Avenue and Zhenhai Road and the terminal station Jiaoyiwan Station at the intersection of Zhonghai Road. It will be possible to transfer to Dongguan Metro Line 3 Phase I and the planned Shenzhen Metro Line 20 at the terminal station.



Connect to Baoan and Futian via Shenzhen Line 20


Furthermore, the Phase III of Dongguan Metro Line 2 will connect with the planned Dongguan Metro Line 10, Line 9, Line 14, Guangzhou Metro Line 22 and Shenzhen Metro Line 20.


It will intersect with the planned Dongguan Line 10 at Humen Avenue Station. It is planned that Dongguan Line 10 will start from Weiyuan Island, Humen, and end at the Shenzhen-Dongguan border in Chang'an Town. The route is roughly east-west, with a total length of 23 kilometers.


The Phase III of Dongguan Metro Line 2 will connect with the planned Dongguan Metro Line 10, Line 9, Line 14.


The Phase III of Dongguan Metro Line 2 will intersect with the planned Guangzhou Metro Line 22 and Dongguan Metro Line 9 at Binhai Bay Station. The planned Dongguan Line 9 starts from Liaoxia, Houjie Town, passing through Shatian, Humen, and finally arrives at Binhaiwan New Area. It is a north-south line that has a total length of 38 kilometers. At Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal Station, it will be possible to transfer to the planned Line 14, which starts from Humen Station in the north and ends at Binhaiwan New Area in the south, with a total length of 20 kilometers.


Phase III also connects with Shenzhen Metro Line 20 at Jiaoyiwan Station.


Phase III also connects with the planned Dongguan Metro Line 3 and Shenzhen Metro Line 20 at Jiaoyiwan Station. Dongguan Line 3 is planned to start from Binhaiwan New Area, pass through Chang'an, Songshan Lake, Changping, Qiaotou, and finally reach Qishi, with 71 kilometers. 


Phase I of Shenzhen Metro Line 20 is 8.43 kilometers long, starting from the Airport North Station and ending at the Convention Center Station, with 5 underground stations. It went into operation on December 28, 2021. In the future, Shenzhen Metro Line 20 will be extended to the Binhaiwan New Area in the north and to the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border in Futian District in the south, with a total length of about 50.6 kilometers and 24 stations.



The Phase III of Dongguan Metro Line 2 is to begin construction in September 2022 and is expected to be completed by December 2027.
