DG to build a modern hub with domestic & intl. dual circulation

The municipal government executive meeting recently reviewed and approved the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Open Economy Development of Dongguan". The plan proposes that by 2025, new progress is to be made in the high-quality development of Dongguan's open economy. Creating a modern hub city linking domestic and international dual circulation is preliminary built.

The plan focuses on six major tasks: setting up a high-level open platform, building a major channel for open development, fostering new markets and growth drivers, gathering high-end resources, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of foreign-funded and foreign trade enterprises, and planning major projects and events. 

# The plan makes it clear that in terms of domestic circulation, it will fully tap the potential of the domestic market instead of the export market and carry out the Dongguan Action Plan of "Trade from Guangdong to the Country", actively constructing an exchange platform for supply chain, production and marketing. It also aims to improve the service guarantee mechanism and promote the quality of domestic brands. 

# In terms of international circulation, it is to accelerate the cultivation of cross-border e-commerce, market procurement, service trade and other new business forms and drivers, build Humen Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone, promote innovative development of regional bonded logistics centers and develop a modern supply chain cooperation system to enhance internal impetus driving trade growth.

The plan also proposes to build a channel for open development, accelerate the construction of the "Hong Kong-Dongguan International Airport Center" project, expand the "Greater Bay Area Express Line", and build a direct cross-border air freight channel between Dongguan and Hong Kong. In addition, it will rationally deploy the distribution of high-quality business centers. For example, it will actively make and upgrade pedestrian streets in International Trade Center, First International Building and Hongfu Road business center, create several iconic commercial landmarks, and provide more high-quality services in culture, tourism, sports, elderly care, housekeeping and other aspects to attract and lead high-end consumption, as well as becoming a regional consumption key city.
