The May Day holiday is coming. The five-day holiday is from April 30 to May 4. On April 28, Dongguan COVID-19 Prevention & Control Command Office released a notice that residents are suggested to stay in Dongguan during the upcoming holiday and not to leave Guangdong province unless necessary.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from other cities in the province are required to hold a 48-hour negative nucleic acid test certificate or take a covid test within 24 hours after arriving in Dongguan. Individuals coming (returning) from outside the province shall implement 14-day health self-monitoring, and two nucleic acid tests should be taken in the first three days of returning, with an interval of 24 hours.
The notice goes into effect from April 30 to May 4. After the holiday, relevant measures shall be subject to the requirements of the Notification from the Dongguan COVID-19 Prevention & Control Command Office (No.59).
In order to better meet the travel needs of the passengers and do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity will put another 24 EMUs into service from May 1 to May 4, bringing the number of trains to 34 every day. Among them, 18 trains run from Xiaojinkou Station, including 1 express train, and 16 trains run from Dongguan West Station, of which 2 are express trains.
After adjustment, the first trains to Dongguan West Station will depart at 06:00. The last train leaves Xiaojinkou Station at 21:25, while the running time of trains from Dongguan West Station to Xiaojinkou Station is 07:10-21:05.
From April 27, Songshan Lake Terminal is to resume the operation of the airport buses to and from Shenzhen Airport.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the country's highways will be toll-free for passenger cars with seven seats or less from 0:00 on April 30 to 24:00 on May 4.
During the May Day holiday, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will not implement traffic restrictions on vehicles without local registered license plates. Dongguan residents can drive their cars to the two cities all day.
At present, the domestic epidemic situation remains severe and complicated. Therefore, citizens are recommended to check the latest epidemic prevention and control policies of the destination before travelling. Passengers should also follow the relevant epidemic prevention and control measures during a trip.
