On September 8, the contract bidding for the construction of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway Station and the construction supervision bidding announcement was released. The project is scheduled to officially start construction at the end of September, with a total construction period of 5.5 years. The main line of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway is 116 kilometres long, including 69.295 kilometres of bridges and 45.200 kilometres of tunnels (including the length of underground stations). The proportion of bridges and tunnels in new lines is 98.4%, and the design speed is 250 kilometres per hour. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 51.31 billion yuan.
9月8日，《新建深圳至江门铁路站前工程施工总价承包招标》及施工监理招标公告发布。项目计划9月底正式开工建设，建设总工期5.5年。深江铁路正线全长116公里，其中桥梁69.295km，隧道45.200km（含地下站长度），新建线路桥隧比例98.4%，设计时速250公里/小时，项目投资估算总额513.1亿元。
Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway is located in the center of Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is an integral part of the coastal passage of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. It is also the main inter-city passage across the river in the Pearl River Delta, running through Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Jiangmen in the Greater Bay area. There are 7 stations along the line, including Xili Station, Shenzhen Airport East Station, Dongguan Binhai Bay Station, Nansha Station, Zhongshan North Station, Henglan Station and Jiangmen Station. Among them, Xili Station and Shenzhen Airport East Station are underground stations, Dongguan Binhai Bay Station, Nansha Station, Zhongshan North Station and Henglan Station are elevated stations, Jiangmen Station is ground station, and Xili Station is included in the construction of Xili-Guangming City project.
深江铁路位于粤港澳大湾区中心，是全国“八纵八横”高速铁路网沿海通道的重要组成部分，也是珠三角地区主要跨江城际通道，贯通大湾区深圳、东莞、广州、中山和江门5城。全线共设西丽（不含）、深圳机场东、东莞滨海湾、南沙、中山北、横栏、江门（含）共7座车站。其中西丽、深圳机场东为地下站，东莞滨海湾、南沙、中山北、横栏为高架站，江门站为地面站，西丽站纳入西丽至光明城项目建设。
The construction of this project will open all nodes of Guangdong coastal high-speed rail channel and greatly shorten the time-space distance between the East and west sides of the Pearl River Estuary. By then, the travel time between Shenzhen and Jiangmen will be shortened to less than one hour. And people will be able to travel between Shenzhen and Nansha Free Trade Zone, Guangzhou within half an hour by high-speed rail. It is conducive to building a half-hour living and economic circle in the Greater Bay Area and drives the regional coordinated development of eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta.
这个项目建设将打通广东沿海高铁通道的“任督二脉”，并大大缩短珠江口东西两岸的时空距离，届时深圳与江门可实现一小时内通达，深圳与广州南沙自贸片区将实现半小时高铁互联互通。有利于打造粤港澳大湾区半小时生活、经济圈，并直接辐射带动粤东粤西与珠三角的区域协调发展。
