可持续生态系统与社会中的地理信息学国际会议

会议简介

GSES（可持续生态系统与社会中的地理信息学）是由中国/美国联合举办的系列学术会议，由中美两国多所大学主办。近年来，环境和生态、矿山开采问题已经称为制约社会经济可持续发展的重要瓶颈，可持续生态系统和社会已经成为热门研究课题。众所周知，生态系统遵循一定的规律，即所有要素彼此存在着相互作用，并展示出不同属性的复杂系统，例如“整体大于其部分总和”或“一切地理实体均相关”等特点。各种生态系统结合，形成复杂的自然或社会生态系统，这些生态系统主要包括：

●草原生态系统

●农业生态系统

●大气生态系统

●矿区生态系统

●森林生态系统

●水文生态系统

●城市生态系统

一般认为，只有可持续发展的生态系统，才能提供令人满意的多元生态系统服务。实现可持续生态系统的一个关键里程是通过先进的数据采集和处理，建立这些生态系统中包含的所有相关因素和智能分析模型，并以合理的方式解释这些因素。

GSES-2018旨在为研究人员、工程师以及学生等提供参与可持续生态系统与社会中的地理信息学领域的交流平台。GSES-2018将集中探讨空间数据采集、处理和管理、建模和分析等各种主题，并使用先进的空间信息采集和处理技术以及空间数据建模和分析方法构建健康的生态系统，实现最新资源成果的管理。会议将提供几个论坛，分享有关这些话题的经验和创新性研究成果。敬请相关研究人员和从业人员向GSES-2018提交研究文稿。

征集论文

GSES-2018是由中美多所大学签署的协议基础上，2018年举行第六届学术会议。会议欢迎各领域的研究者，包括地理信息科学、测绘科学、地理科学、水文与水资源、地质学、地理可持续性研究、生态与环境科学、资源管理与政策，以及可持续城市和区域开发与建模。GSES-2018继续秉承会议主旨，专注于地球观测、生态环境演变、地理空间分析和技术进步以及其在自然资源管理和可持续发展社会中的应用。

欢迎来自世界各地的作者参加这次国际盛会，欢迎向会议投稿，会议主题包括但不限于：

论文提交和出版

作者可以提交两种类型的论文：摘要或全文。所有论文（全文）将被纳入会议论文，并由Springer出版，同时提交EI检索，优秀论文将推荐给同行评审，由Sustainability（SCI和SSCI双重检索）等期刊出版。

Introduction

GSES (Geo-informatics in Sustainable Ecosystemand Society) is an annual academic conference in a series held in China or inUSA sponsored by multiple universities located in the two countries.Sustainable ecosystem and society has been a hot topic in recent years as moreand more environmental and ecological issues continue to arise around theworld. Ecosystems follow the concept that all elements continually interactwith one another and with their environment to create complex systems withdifferent emergent properties, for instance, "the whole is greater thanthe sum of its parts" or "everything is connected". There arevarious ecosystems that are combined to form a complex natural orsocio-ecological unit. Those ecosystems may include:

●Grassland ecosystem

●Agro-ecosystem

●Atmosphere ecosystem

●Mining-ecosystem

●Forest ecosystem

●Hydrological ecosystem

●Urban ecosystem

It is agreed that only sustainabledevelopment of an ecosystem can provide satisfactory and multiple ecosystemservices in the long run. One key milestone for attaining sustainableecosystems is through advanced data acquisition and processing of all relatedelements contained in those ecosystems and intelligent analysis models that cantake those elements to explain their interactions in reasonable ways.

GSES-2018 aims to bring researchers,engineers, and students to the areas of Geo-informatics in Sustainable Ecosystemand Society. GSES-2018 features unique mixed topics of spatial dataacquisition, processing and management, modeling and analysis, and recentapplications in the context of building healthier ecology and resource managementusing advanced remote sensing technology and spatial data modeling andanalysis. The conference will provide a forum for sharing experiences andoriginal research contributions on those topics. Researchers and practitionersare invited to submit their contributions to GSES-2018.

Callfor Papers

GSES-2018 is the sixth annual academicconference in a series held between China USA sponsored by an agreement betweenmultiple universities from China and USA. The conference attracts participantsin a diverse range of fields, including geographic information science,geo-design, geo-sustainability studies, ecological and environmental sciences,resource management and policy, and sustainable urban and regional developmentand modeling. GSES-2018 continues the conference series’ unique blend of topicsfocusing on advances in earth observation, geo-spatial analysis andtechnologies and their applications in natural resource management andsustainable society.

Authors from around the world are welcome togather at this international event. After the conference, special issues inseveral selected journals in GIScience, sustainability studies, urban andregional modeling, will be published based on topics from the conference, whichinclude but are not limited to:

Track 1: Advancedspatial data acquisition and processing for earth observations

Track 2: Spatialmodeling, spatial data mining and big-data analytics

Track 3: Sustainableecology, environment and social development

Track 4: Minesustainable development and intelligent mines

Track 5: Applications ofspatial data in supporting sustainable development of human society

Track 6: Policiesrelated to sustainable development

Papersubmission and Publication

Authors can submit two types of papers: abstract or full paper. All papers (full paper) will be included in conference proceedings, published by Springer and indexed by EI. The best papers will be recommended to peer-review for publication such as Sustainability indexed by SCI/ SSCI.
