A Chinese woman passenger was verbally abused when a caucasian passenger said, "You f**king Chinese pig! Get the f**k out of here!" on a British airline Virgin Flight VS250 flying from London Heathrow Airport to Shanghai on March 1st.

The humiliation of Chinese passenger named Miss Liu has created national rage as Miss Liu described her experience of racial discrimination in an angry post on Chinese social media network “Weibo,” on March 4. At the time of publishing, the post has been reposted 35,633 times, received 9,675 comments, and 11,812 likes.

Miss Liu also claims she faced the bullying attitude for 11 hours on a flight by the man who called her racist names.

“A male flight attendant named “Nathan Smith” scolded me when I complained about my fear, distress and frustration,” Liu claims. She also said the cabin crew didn't help her but instead threatened to throw her off the flight.

“I couldn’t believe my ears at first. And then [I was] overwhelmed by shock and rage, I said, ‘What did you say to me?’ He just repeated what he said, clutching his hands as if he is about to hit me,” Liu said in her post on Weibo.

“A British man and his Chinese wife decided they could not have it anymore and stepped up to stop him, but they were threatened by the man,” Liu further said.

Many Chinese people expressed anger over the treatment of Ms. Liu and vowed not to fly with the company ever again.

“I'm very disappointed for the unacceptable behaviour of your staff on Flight VS250. I can't imagine how racial discrimination happened on a well-known global company,” a Chinese netizen named Ziqi Ding wrote on Virgin Atlantic's social media account while commenting on the issue.

Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin group, issued an apologetic message on his Twitter page for the alleged incident…

Britain is one of the top destinations for Chinese tourists who have expressed their rage towards the British aviation company for allowing the threatening passenger on flight and for the on-board crew’s improper handling of the case.

The company responded by saying: “We understand that there was an altercation between two customers on board the flight, which resulted in both individuals becoming upset and distressed. We would like to reiterate that Virgin Atlantic takes a zero tolerance approach to racism.”

Virgin Atlantic Airways said the case is under investigation.

Speaking over the statement of head of Virgin Atlantic Airways, Liu Wei said, “I do not know if Richard Branson actually replied himself but I am pleased that Virgin [is] concerned.”

“I was in England for over ten days travelling and my impression was fine, but after this incident I do not want to go back to that country,” Liu added.
