Trade Compliance Specialist

Role Summary – This role reports to the Asia Trade Compliance Manager and will coordinate import and export compliance activities in China. The position is responsible for integrating import and export regulations into key business and functional procedures, providing guidance on compliance related issues, performing audits, and conducting training.

Job Responsibilities:

• Stay current on regulation developments and proactively assess actions/changes required to keep compliance.

• Provide training for cross functional departments at ADI locations across China.

• Monitor and interpret China import/export regulations and assess impact to the business.

• Respond to ad hoc trade compliance related requests and inquiries related to cross border transactions.

• Develop, implement and maintain a standard trade compliance procedure.

• Work across functions to ensure that international trade compliance is maintained while ensuring that overall organization objectives are supported.

• Conduct Trade Compliance due diligence and risk assessments and assist Corporate Trade Compliance with internal compliance assessments.

• Custom Broker Management.

Job Requirements: 

• Experience and Understanding of International Business.

• Knowledge of Customs Valuation, Tariff Classification, Country of Origin, US Export/Reexport Regulations.

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Must be fluent in Mandarin.

• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

• Able to work across multiple time zones.
