Welcome to WildChina Journeys, the official English-language WeChat account of WildChina Travel.
Who are we?
Here at WildChina, we’re not just a travel company. We go beyond just showing people a destination by fostering a deeper understanding and perception of a place and the people we find there.
Our aim is to create journeys and experiences that cross the borders of geography and knowledge. Whether it's learning to make cheese with a farmer in her home or sipping on Tibetan butter tea with a monk, we take travelers beyond the normal tourist route and into the real China. We believe that real understanding comes from when you see through someone else's eyes, so our mission is quite simple: get people to meet people.
We champion sustainable, socially responsible travel. That means we work directly with the local communities to promote traditions and encourage local investment. Now more than ever, this type of small-scale, organic travel is crucial. We've always been about getting away from the crowds, but now we really want to get you off the beaten path, in a safe, responsible way.

Why a WeChat account now?
This year, we're turning 20! And as part of our celebration of all the people and communities we've worked with these past two decades, we're honoring them by finding new ways to share their stories and give back knowledge and resources.
We're hosting online events to help our guides learn more about creating a sustainable tourism industry in China. We're offering live chats with experts to our travelers who can't make it here just yet. And we're planning something very special for October that will celebrate all the different cultures found around the country. (Stay tuned for more on that!)
