这首歌曲的演唱者Alvin Oon是一位新加坡华人,致力于在新加坡音乐界推广海峡华人的音乐与文化。他最近在脸书上推出了这首改编曲,推出之后,在24小时内传遍亚洲,包括泰国和菲律宾等国家。
这首歌用的是1965年《寂静之声》的曲调,并且仿照了原唱者西蒙和加芬克尔的合声,部分歌词和格律跟原曲相同。不过,改编曲主要是说武汉肺炎疫情,歌词提醒民众如何做好个人防护,并呼吁大家共同努力防堵病毒。
