17th China International Photographic Art Exhibition
中国国际摄影艺术展览（以下简称“国际影展”）是 1981 年经中国文化部批准设立，中国举办时间最久、规模最大、具有广泛影响的重要国际性摄影展览活动。中国第 17 届国际摄影艺术展览由中国摄影家协会和郑州市人民政府共同主办，旨在综合呈现世界各国近年来在摄影方面所取得的成就，展示各国摄影家在摄影艺术领域的探索和实践成果，促进世界各国摄影文化的交流、融合与发展。
“方向·视界”主题类
方向，自然、人类、社会发展之方向 ; 视界 , 与“世界”谐音，摄影家通过镜头来观察记录世界的变化，用影像呈现心中的世界。
纪录类
是指以客观记录的方式关注社会生活、自然环境生态、民俗风情等各类题材的作品。涵盖新闻摄影、专题报道摄影、社会人文纪实摄影、自然纪实摄影等。
艺术类
是指为表达审美意趣、倾诉主观情感而创作的作品。题材可涵盖人文景观、民俗风情、人物、静物、动植物等，也包括创意影像、观念影像、实验性影像等，对创作技法不作限制。
China International Photographic Art Exhibition (for short "International Photographic Exhibition") was approved by Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China in 1981, is held the longest, largest and has a wide range influential important international exhibition. 17th China International Photographic Art Exhibition is co-organized by China Photographers Association and Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government. The purpose of this international photographic exhibition is to comprehensively present the achievements of photography in various countries of the world in recent years, show the exploration and practical achievements of photographers from all of the world in the photography art field, which promote exchange, integration and development of photography culture in the world.
“DIRECTION • HORIZON” THEME CATEGORY
The works that participate in this category should be created according to the interpretation of “DIRECTION• HORIZON,” and there is no restriction on the creative technique.
DOCUMENTARY
Documentary category refers to the works that objectively record social life, ecological environment and folkways. Photos in this category include news photography, photography for special reports, social documentary photography as well as nature documentary photography.
ART
Art category refers to the works that give expression to esthetic sentiments and emotions. Its subject matters include cultural landscape, folkways, figures, inanimate subjects, animals and plants. This category also covers creative, conceptual and experimental photography, without restriction on the artistic technique.
2018 郑州国际影像双年展
2018 ZHENGZHOU INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY BIENNIAL EXHIBITION
影像是可以跨越民族、地域和文化差异的视觉语言。郑州国际影像双年展坚持国际性、专业性、群众性，突出影像作品首次呈现原则， 以开放的姿态、开阔的视野，为不同民族文明互鉴、文化共融搭建平台，有力地传递中国声音，持续推动国际影像艺术的交流和发展，进一步提升郑州国际影响力。
本届郑州国际影像双年展分为邀请展和交流展两个单元。
Image is a visual language that can span ethnic, geographical and cultural difference. Zhengzhou International Image Biennial Exhibition adheres to international, professional, and mass. It highlights the principle of first-time exhibition of image works, using an open attitude and a broad vision, to build a platform for different national civilizations and mutual understanding and cultural integration, it effectively conveys the Chinese voice, continuously promotes the exchange and development of international image art, and further enhances the international influence of Zhengzhou.
Zhengzhou International Image Biennial Exhibition is divided into two units: International Photography Exchange Exhibition and International Photography Invitation Exhibition.
