2023 屿庐青年艺术节前言

Preface of 2023 Untitled Source Youth Art Festival

屿庐线上平台联合山中天艺术中心，由中国当代艺术档案馆担纲学术支持，于2023年5月共同发起第二届「屿庐青年艺术节」，面向全国青年艺术家展开征集海选，本次收到600余位艺术家投稿，经过评委初审后，现已产生15位入围的优秀青年艺术家，即将于10月21日，在山中天艺术中心·玄馆内呈现群展。

屿庐青年艺术节关注着每一位艺术创作者的生态问题，在后疫情时代的种种不确定性中，如何用艺术的方式提供更多元视角的创作可能，如何打破、重建？又如何在被大量信息充斥着的景观社会中，重建个体对社会及生命的感知力。此次展览入围的15位艺术家，作品以架上为主，结合部分影像及摄影作品，他们的创作从个人主体的感受出发，致力于对个人精神以及周遭世界的思考，或源自对消费主义，个人主义等时代表征的意义回应，抑或植根于时代背后的深层语法。本次展览，屿庐联合艺术家力图在上述背景下构建多元意义的共生与平衡，并最终将评选公布1位“屿庐年度青年艺术家”，敬请期待。

In collaboration with the Wind H Art Center and supported academically by the Archives of Contemporary Art in China, the Untitled Source launched the second edition of the Untitled Source Youth Art Festival in May 2023. The festival invited submissions from young artists nationwide, with over 600 artists participating in this event. After the rigorous judging process, 15 outstanding young artists have been selected as finalists. Their works will be showcased in a group exhibition at the Xuan Pavilion of the Wind H Art Center on October 21st. 
The Untitled Source Art Festival focuses on the ecological issues of every art creator, striving to contemplate the uncertainties in the post-pandemic era: How can we use art to provide more diverse perspectives for creative possibilities? How can we make breakthroughs and rebuild? How can we reconstruct individual perceptions of society and life in a landscape bombarded with vast amounts of information? The 15 artists selected for this exhibition primarily present their works in the form of installations, complemented by some video and photography pieces. Their creations are rooted in personal experiences and are dedicated to reflecting on individual spirituality and the surrounding world. They may respond to consumerism and individualism in the era or delve into the deep grammar behind the scenes. Overall, the Untitled Resource collaborates with the artists, striving for a symbiotic balance of diverse meanings within this exhibition. Ultimately, an “Yearly Artist of Untitled Source Youth Art Festival” will be announced. Stay tuned.

山中天艺术中心·玄馆位于北京市朝阳区酒仙桥北路751艺术区北一门，于2022年11月开馆。设计师金秋野利用角落、缝隙和零余空间“造园”，通过梳理复杂功能来创造丰富空间，在最小尺度内完成高密度建造，尽量保留原有完整建筑空间，“小而密”的新建部分在“大而疏”的保留部分中穿行，以疏密对比体现对城市日常历史的尊重。尽量保留原有建筑和施工过程中偶然而成“皱纹与胎记”，表达“新旧交融、无新无旧”的时间感。山中天艺术中心·玄馆旨在创办有较大影响力的青年艺术家研究型实验性美术馆，未来将成为当代艺术与建筑艺术相结合的新型艺术综合体，为观众带来全新的观展体验。
