今天学习的是廖彩杏书单里，也是咱们共读的100本绘本中的第10本图画书——《Henny Penny》
这本书在国外的民间故事中，拥有四大名著之一的地位，畅销超25个国家。许多成年人回忆，这本书仍是他们最喜欢的故事。也因为这本书，“The sky is falling”成为金句。自此以后，这句话拥有了字面意义之外的另一层含义，代表了“错误地相信灾难即将来临”。
这是一个广为流传的民间故事，曾被改变成很多故事，甚至很多不同的结局版本。我们现在介绍的是JYbook 的版本。
讲述的是：一枚橡果从树上掉了下来，碴到了正在享用美味玉米的Henny Penny，让他错以为天要塌了。“天塌下来了!天塌下来!”多事又糊里糊涂的Henny Penny便开始四处散播这个离谱谣言。没想到，Cocky Locky,Goosey Loosey,Ducky Lucky,Turkey lurkey，这一只只傻里傻气的动物居然都相信它，而跟着它要去报告国王吗？这群不用大脑思考的家禽，后又会遭遇到什么异想不到的事呢?

关于它的结局，狐狸到底有没有吃掉小动物们，出现了很多不同的版本，涵义各不相同，不过今天学习的这个版本无疑是作者所认为的最符合孩子的心理，孩子们最希望看到的。

这个视频版的《母鸡潘妮》故事结局很搞笑，狐狸没有吃了潘妮和小伙伴们，反而自己跑去告诉皇帝“the sky is falling"...，小朋友们，你们喜欢哪个结局呢？

有一天，母鸡潘妮正在一堆树叶里吃谷物.

共读小技巧
这本绘本乍一看，内容是不是很多啊？
这其实是一个有创意、幽默感十足的重复句式故事，就算认识字不多的孩子，光是欣赏图画也能感受到故事的精彩有趣。故事中的各种动物角色，是绘者Werner旅居德国，在小镇里追逐小鸡、公鸡、鸭子、鹅和火鸡时得到的灵感。丰富的水彩画，生动描绘出动物表情与夸张的肢体动作，光欣赏插画也能了解故事的来龙去脉。
特别是里面的Penny/Henny, Cocky/Locky, Ducky/Lucky等名字都是抑扬顿挫的，增加了韵律感，让孩子在阅读阶段可以更加容易上口。
这个规律和苏斯博士著名的绘本《Green Eggs and Ham》（我们读的第9本绘本）是一样的思想的，设计的目的就是要让小孩更加容易的阅读，增加阅读的乐趣，让小孩爱上阅读。
当然，在了解了故事之后，又有了台词，其实很适合亲子阅读之后的“角色扮演”啦，一个客串penny，一个客串locky，一个客串Loosey...能够让孩子学的更深刻，对英语故事更有兴趣。
有很多家长问，给孩子读英语绘本要不要告诉孩子中文的意思？
我个人的观点就是如果孩子有兴趣，没有任何排斥情绪，就不用中文来讲了。如果孩子要求或者根本没有兴趣，那就完全可以用丰富多彩中文故事情节激发孩子对这本书的兴趣，有了兴趣再听音频，基本就没有大问题了。只是在用中文讲的时候，只讲一个大致的中文故事，不要一句中文一句英文的讲，这本身就违背了段落 - 句子 - 单词的这个层次的重次点顺序。
