Many people have spread rumors online that the Nigerian president had been replaced with a look-alike. Last month the president promised that he is alive. He said those spreading rumors about his health were not correctly informed.

Rumors are unconfirmed reports and information that are passed from person to person.

Rumors can be true or false.

Often, rumors are used to damage the social position of their subject.
