REHABILITATE

Recently hatched flamingo chicks on Kamfers Dam were flown hundreds of kilometers away to prevent them from dying.

THere, workers say it will take months to rehabilitate the chicks.

To rehabilitate is to bring someone or something back to a good condition following injury or damage.

For people, rehabilitation is returning someone to a healthy or normal life through training, often after they served time in prison or were addicted to alcohol or drugs.
