今天我们要学的词组是trigger。Trigger是扳机，pull the trigger就是扣动扳机。作为动词，trigger有激发，引起其他事件或是连锁反应的意思。比如布什总统决定向伊拉克增兵，引发了大规模反战抗议活动， "President Bush's decision to send more troops to Iraq triggered large-scale protests."
