汇总帖 | 晒晒自己的科研软件

编者按：

最近在整理论坛上的相关帖时，经常看到各位滴友分享的科研软件，又很巧的看到了荣誉版主（@烦忧）曾经发过的晒晒科研软件帖。

今天特整理一期来自滴友汇聚的帖，如果你也有很好用的科研软件（比如搜索引擎、文献管理软件、数据库、编程软件、数据处理软件、画图软件等），何不来一次跟帖留言。

AFNI 不用介绍了吧
Google 搜索引擎 
Pubmed  ISI  这两个用的最多 偶尔用用Google Scholar
还有Google Reader， Gmail 
结合Pubmed, Gmail/reader很方便的做到reference update 这个可以另开帖子来说了
Endnote 不用介绍了吧

用途： 用来截屏，做动画

用途：远程登陆用的

介绍理由：用来显示另外一台电脑的桌面，不必在各台电脑间跑来跑去的

名称：CCleaner
用途： 清理系统垃圾

介绍理由：还你一个干净清爽的电脑

名称：SyncBack
用途：用来备份，同步文件的

介绍理由：别把鸡蛋放一个篮子里，赶紧把你的数据备份起来吧

名称：gigapedia
用途：下载外文电子书

名称：Google Reader
用途：订阅博客、科研期刊等

推荐理由：可以查看最新期刊的摘要，还可以关注好友的博客有没有更新，教程

用途： 统计软件，功能强于SPSS
网址： 
推荐理由：R是一种为统计计算和图形显示而设计的语言及环境。R是自由软件(GNU Project)，它和贝尔实验室(Bell Laboratories) John Chambers 等人开发的S系统相似，基本实现了S语言(S语言的商业版本就是SPLUS)。R提供了一系列统计和图形显示的工具 (线性和非线性模型，统计检验，时间序列分析，分类，聚类)   

名称： 眼动实验软件Eyetrack
用途： 用于眼动实验时尤其是阅读实验的刺激呈现

推荐理由： 傻瓜似的软件，适用于没有程序设计基础的人来使用

名称：Psychophysics Toolbox 
用途：可以下载各种matlab中用于心理学研究的插件

推荐理由：matlab在心理学中使用越来越广泛，因此，很值得经常上一下这个网站下载一些相关插件

用途：电子笔记本

推荐理由：与网络同步，在任何能上网的时候都能记录，浏览自己的笔记，直接从网页摘录会自动记录下网址，非常方便。现在已有汉化版本。

名称：Offline.Explorer.Enterprise.v5.1.2804
用途：离线浏览，下载一部分或整个网站！
网址：（具体在那儿下的忘记了....）
推荐理由：上网时往往有很多网站和精彩，如：，很想把它们都收归己有（贪心.....），而且还可以做成chm或帮助文件电子书，已经下了很多网站，感觉很棒。

用途：fMRI数据分析

推荐理由：此领域内最常用的的软件了，见网站，不像AFNI要在linux下运行

名称：gift
用途：fMRI数据ICA分析
网址：http://icatb.sourceforge.net/gift/gift_startup.php
推荐理由：group ICA分析的代表，见网站

名称：FSL
用途：fMRI数据分析，个人目前用其ICA分析的melodic部分 
网址：http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/
推荐理由：fMRI数据分析的另一个牛软件，强大到目前我还不太了解，只用其melodic部分，见网站

名称：Mendeley Desktop

用途：Organize, share and discover research papers

推荐理由：自动搜索并扫描你的PDF文件，生成文献索引。

OneNote now sync notes to clouding using MS SkyDrive. Making it rival EverNote by far.  Too bad it doesn't have portable device support.

Sharing PDF collections with my PI. Does have good PDF commenting. Also excellent for reference.

Study/Research Note Organization


Evernote
Life/Todo Note Organization. 

Sync to portable devices. Best used with Android/iPhone/iPod Touch + WiFi/3G

Acrobat
PDF Editing / Touchups/Commenting

Heavy on system but very powerful to most PDF operations needed.

PDF Annotator
PDF Annotation/Commenting

Very good with a tablet. Multicolor annotation support. Mak reading a joy on tablet devices.

Adobe Illustrator
Graph/Chart Design

If you ever designed a chart and have to use it for publication/print/poster etc, don't convert it to bitmap. Try use illustrator instead to preserve vector format and make chart beautiful.

EndNote
Reference Manager

If you ever manage PDF, either use EndNote or Mendeley. I like EndNote better for its excellent Word integration but i love Mendeleys PDF management capabiblity better. Currently using both of them together to synergize their strength. 

GraphPad Prism
Beginner Stats Analysis

I use this when I was an idiot (still somewhat now...) at stats. I back then did not know there were difference between Z and T scores and thought ANCOVA or MANOVA was ANOVA spelt wrong in papers I read LOL.

SPSS
Intermediate Stats Analysis

Enough said. Good stats function IF you know what to do with it. Otherwise, it's a pain to learn. I am mostly understand how to use SPSS. Only took me like 3 years haha.

SAS or  R
Advanced, Serious Stats Analysis


SPSS have a lot of limitation. Most of those are overcome by SAS or R. However, they are even harder than SPSS to learn and require very strong background in stats and minor procedural programming background to master.

PEBL: The Psychology Experiment Building Language
Stimuli presentation

If you don't; want to use E-Prime but has a bit programming background, use PEBL. I think it has poorer fMRI support but is free and have TONS of tasks readily available for you to use for your psychological analysis.

Prezi
Presentation Tool

If you still use powerpoint, try consider using Prezi. However, it is mostly web-based and may have very slow connection in mainland China. However, it is a much easier way to organize content than PPT and definitely make presentation a WHOLE lot more interesting.

TrueCrypt
Security

When dealing with patient data, you'd better respect their confidentiality. All my patient identity info are encypted using TrueCrypt

Notepad++
Basic m file Editing

It is much more userfriendly when editing a variety of code that I have to work with 

Dropbox
File synchronization/cloud backup

Keep file syncrhonized and securely backed up on cloud alh across multiple computers at home, work and office and servers.

LastPass
Security

Too many security access password since I am working with clinical and vulnerable population (plus I work in mental health hospital), this keeps track of everything I need to remember.

Launchy
Program Access / Windows Explorer Replacement

Windows; version of QuickSilver. Make you find files you remember name of about zillion times faster. Very very helpful for daily tasks.

NiNite.com
New computer setup

If you have a new computer, there are tons of software you need to install. This install all those freeones in ONE click. Life saver when I usually setup new stations for the labs/friends here.

用途：搜索文献

推荐理由：相信很多学校都有读秀的镜像，其实很多时候还蛮好使的，我现在只能蹭免费账号

用途：时间管理软件

推荐理由：对于做事有些拖延的我，这个软件帮了我很大的忙
