画廊周北京2018参展机构——麦勒画廊 Galerie Urs Meile

今年，麦勒画廊将第二次加入画廊周北京的参展阵容，带来展览项目《邵帆：近作》。

麦勒画廊成立于1992年，一直致力于展示和传播当代艺术，涵盖绘画、雕塑、摄影、影像、装置，及行为等多种艺术创作形式。画廊在瑞士卢森和中国北京开展工作：管理中心位于瑞士，北京空间已成为收藏家、策展人以及艺术爱好者熟知的国际聚集场所。

自1995年起，麦勒画廊进驻中国当代艺术界，可谓第一批较早深入探索中国当代艺术的国际画廊。麦勒画廊代理的艺术家包括王兴伟、谢南星、邱世华、Not Vital以及Tobias Rehberger（亚洲区域）等一批具有影响力的艺术家；同时，麦勒画廊也关注并支持着陈飞、程然、李钢、周思维、胡庆雁和Julia Steiner 等新锐艺术家。

2017年5月，画廊798艺术区新空间的开幕标志着画廊迈入了一个新的阶段。画廊新空间位于798艺术区，该区域曾是大山子工业厂房。这一曾经的厂房在日本设计师Mitsunori Sano的设计指导下焕然一新。520平米的空间囊括了大展厅、接待区、办公室以及仓库，新空间具备绝佳的展览条件，能满足当代艺术家的多元的展览需求，与此同时，新空间也兑现了麦勒画廊于对这座城市充满活力的艺术圈的承诺。

“艺术家驻地”项目由麦勒画廊北京部支持资助并运营，该工作室得以为西方艺术家提供在中国生活、工作为期几个月并展开社交的机会。另外，该项目还可以提供给成熟及新锐的国际艺术家，让他们得以根据北京的工作室空间进行特定地点创作。

Since its establishment in 1992, Galerie Urs Meile has contributed to the presentation and dissemination of contemporary art, from painting and sculpture to photography, installation and video. The gallery is working from two locations: Lucerne (Switzerland) and Beijing (China). While its center of operations is based in Switzerland, the Beijing gallery has established itself as an international meeting place for collectors, curators, artists and aficionados of the arts.

Galerie Urs Meile was one of the first international galleries to focus on the Chinese art scene and has been working on an international level with Chinese artists since 1995. The gallery represents established artists such as Wang Xingwei, Xie Nanxing, Qiu Shihua, Not Vital, Tobias Rehberger (in Asia), as well as emerging artists such as Chen Fei, Cheng Ran, Li Gang, Zhou Siwei, Hu Qingyan and Julia Steiner.

The opening of Galerie Urs Meile’s new space in the 798 Art District in Beijing in May 2017 marks a further stage in the expansion of the gallery’s activities. The new space is located in one of 798’s historical buildings that once made up the Dashanzi factory complex. The former warehouse has been completely renovated under the guidance of the Japanese architect Mitsunori Sano. On 520 square meters, it contains generous exhibition and reception areas, offices, and storage rooms. Offering perfect conditions for exhibitions and events featuring its diverse roster of contemporary artists, the new venue represents Galerie Urs Meile’s commitment to the city’s vibrant art scene.

The artist-in-residence program supported and run by Galerie Urs Meile in Beijing offers Western artists the opportunity to work in China for several months and establish a network within the Chinese art scene. In the frame of this cooperation, emerging and established artists present projects that have been specifically made for the Beijing gallery space.

麦勒画廊北京部荣幸地宣布，继2016年“大兔子＋”个展之后，我们即将举办艺术家邵帆（昱寒）的最新个展“近作”，该展览将呈现邵帆近几年在当代水墨艺术领域的最新艺术实践。

邵帆的创作媒介涵盖绘画、雕塑、景观艺术和设计，他一直以来对水墨画尤为感兴趣，近年来，邵帆潜心于动物肖像的创作。他的作品中均流露出对于中国传统文化尤其是“審老”的迷恋。与此同时，也体现了其作为全球化语境中当代艺术家的观念和趣味，这在他的大尺幅动物肖像中尤为凸显。

Galerie Urs Meile Beijing is honored to announce Shao Fan (Yu Han)’s exhibition Recent Works. Following the artist’s last solo show Big Rabbit + in 2016, this upcoming exhibition will extend the focus onto new developments in his contemporary ink explorations.

Along with his diverse body of work—including painting, sculpture, landscape art and design—ink painting has always been anessential field of interest for Shao Fan, and in recent years has resulted in adistinct body of work predominantly depicting portraits of animals. His works speaks to an almost obsessive fascination with Chinese traditional culture and its peculiar appreciation of oldness. At the same time, they further embody concepts and leanings of contemporary art in an international context, something particularly noticeable in his large-scale animal portraiture.

关于艺术家

邵帆，字昱寒，生于北京艺术世家，并一直生活在北京。自幼随父母学习绘画。

其作品从1988年始被世界许多美术馆收藏，如纽约大都会博物馆、美国皮博底博物馆、中国美术馆、英国维多利亚和阿尔伯特博物馆（V&A）、香港M＋美术馆、日本福冈美术馆、加拿大皇家安大略博物馆、希克收藏、瑞士Erlenmeyer基金会等。

Shao Fan, style name Yu Han, was born in 1964 to a family of artists in Beijing, where he has lived ever since. He studied painting with his mother and father from a young age.

Numerous museums around the world, such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Peabody Museum of Salem in the United States, The National Art Museum of China, The Victoria and Albert Museum in England, Hong Kong’s M+ Museum, and The Fukuoka Art Museum in Japan, Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, Sigg Collection, Erlenmeyer Foundation in Switzerland, among others, have been collecting his works since 1988.
