Breaking! China shortens the quarantine days to 7
Quarantine requirements for international arrivals, as well as close contacts of domestic COVID-19 patients, have been adjusted from the previous 14 days in centralized quarantine and seven days of home-based self monitoring, to seven days of centralized quarantine and three days of home-based self monitoring.
The change is according to a new policy issued by the State Council today (June 28).
The change effectively cuts quarantine periods in half for overseas arrivals and close contacts.
The change in policy appears to make an attempt at balancing the need to prevent imported cases and support socioeconomic development.
