My name is Susan. 我叫苏珊。
Look at this picture of my community. 看我们小区的照片。
There are many tall buildings in it. 有很多高大的建筑物。
I live in one of the buildings. 我们住在其中一栋。
There is a park near my home and there is a river behind the park. 我家附近有一个公园，公园后有一条河。
There are a lot of trees and flowers in the park. It's beautiful. 公园里有好多树和花。很美。
On the main street is a bank. 在主路上有一个银行。
Beside the bank is a hospital. 银行边有一间医院。
Across the road,there is a big supermarket between a hotel and a bookshop. 马路对面有一间大超市，在酒店和书店之间。
My mum and I often buy fruit, vegetables and other healthy food there. 我妈妈和我经常在那买水果、蔬菜和其它健康食物。
Look! What's in the centre of the community? 看！我们小区的中心是什么？
There is a school! It is my school. 有一间学校！是我的学校。
I can see everything on my way to school. 我在上学的路上能看见各种东西。

三、句型结构
1. — Where is + 地点? 询问地点的句型。
— Go down + 街道/ 马路.
eg: — Where is the supermarket? 超市在哪？
— Go down the street.
2. How can + 主语 + get (to) + 地点? 询问如何到达某地。
eg：— How can I get to the library? 我怎么到达图书馆？
— You can get there on foot. 你可以步行过去。
3. There is/ are + 某人/ 某物 + 地点. 表达某处有某物。
eg：There is a river in front of my house. 我家门前有一条河。
四、语法知识
1. ①in front of 在物体外部的前面
例：There are some trees in front of the building.
②in the front of在物体内部的前面
例：There is a desk in the front of the classroom.
2. 问路
①How can I get to the + 地点？
②Where is the + 地点？
③Can you tell me the way to the+ 地点？
3. There be 句型 （表示“在……有……” ）
（1）基本结构：
①There is + 单数可数名词或不可数名词 + 其他.
②There are + 复数可数名词 + 其他.
例：There is a book on the desk. 在书桌上有一本书。
There are some birds in the tree. 在树上有些鸟。
另外要注意：当句子中出现几个并列的主语时，be动词要与靠近的主语的数上保持一致。区别这两个句子 ：
There is a girl and some boys in the classroom.
There are some boys and a girl in the classroom.
（2）There be 句型的时态变化
①一般现在时：There is /There are...
②一般将来时：A.肯定句：There will be /There is going to be/ There are going to be...
B.否定句：There won’t be…/There isn’t going to be…/ There aren’t going to be…
C.一般疑问句：
问：Will there be…?/ Is there going to be…? / Are there going to be…?
答：Yes, there will. / No, there won’t.
Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t.
Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t.
③ 一般过去时: A.肯定句：There was /There were...
B.否定句：There wasn’t… /There weren’t…
C.一般疑问句：
问：Was there…? / Were there…?
答：Yes, there was./ No, there weren’t.
