Thank you so much ！That was so nice. And this has been an extraordinary few days. President Xi, your generous words. I must say, Melania -- we both want to express our gratitude to you and Madam Peng for the extraordinary hospitality that you've shown us from the moment we arrived in your magnificent country, China.
非常感谢！讲的太好了。这几天真是非常不寻常。习主席，你慷慨的话语。 我必须说，梅拉尼亚—我们俩人都要感谢你和彭女士，感谢从我们抵达你们雄伟的国家，中国，的那一刻起你们向我们展现出的非比寻常的好客之情。
Yesterday, we visited the Forbidden City, which stands as a proud symbol of China’s rich culture and majestic spirit. Your nation is a testament to thousands of years of vibrant, living history.
昨天，我们参观了故宫，它是中国丰富文化和高贵精神的骄傲象征。贵国是数千年生机勃勃、鲜活的历史的明证。
And today, it was a tremendous honor to be greeted by the Chinese delegation right here at the Great Hall of the People. This moment in history presents both our nations with an incredible opportunity to advance peace and prosperity alongside other nations all around the world. In the words of a Chinese proverb, "We must carry forward the cause and forge ahead into the future." I am confident that we can realize this wonderful vision, a vision that will be so good and, in fact, so great for both China and the United States.
而今天，我极为荣幸地就在人民大会堂这里受到了中国代表团的迎接。这一历史时刻给我们两国带来一个绝佳的机遇，与世界各地的其他国家并肩推进和平与繁荣。用一句中国谚语来说，“我们一定要继往开来。”我有信心我们能够实现这一美好的愿景，一个将对中国和美国都如此美好的愿景，事实上是太棒了。
Though we come from different places and faraway lands, there is much that binds the East and West. Both of our countries were built by people of great courage, strong culture, and a desire to trek across the unknown into great danger. But they overcame.

"STATE-VISIT-PLUS" EXPERIENCE
什么是““国事访问+”接待规格”？
国事访问+即除了国事访问的规定动作(usual protocols)，包括检阅仪仗队(military honor guard)、正式会谈(official talks)、举办国宴(state banquet)等之外，还会有一些特殊安排(special arrangements)。
8日，国家主席习近平和夫人彭丽媛陪同来华进行国事访问的美国总统特朗普和夫人梅拉尼娅参观故宫博物院。
他们都去了什么地方？
新华社报道，习近平主席和夫人彭丽媛在故宫博物院迎接了特朗普和夫人梅拉尼娅。

两国元首夫妇在宝蕴楼简短茶叙。
特朗普使用平板电脑向习近平夫妇展示外孙女阿拉贝拉(Arabella)用中文演唱歌曲、背《三字经》和古诗的视频。

习近平夸奖阿拉贝拉中文水平进步，说可以打"A+"，表示她在中国已成为小明星，希望她也能有机会来中国。
看来无论是在国内还是国外，学好一门外语都是十分重要的！
前三殿
茶叙过后，两国元首夫妇来到了恢宏壮丽的故宫前三殿。
随后，他们沿故宫中轴线，依次参观了太和殿、中和殿、保和殿。习近平沿途向特朗普介绍故宫的历史、建筑和文化。
据故宫博物院院长单霁翔介绍，这是故宫博物院90多年来第一次由中方和外方的元首夫妇，四个人一同来参观故宫博物院。

看过去年热播纪录片《我在故宫修文物》的朋友一定会对故宫文物医院不陌生。
两国元首夫妇先后观赏了钟表、木器、金属器、陶瓷、纺织品、书画等文物修复技艺展示，并共同观看了珍品文物展。
习近平和夫人彭丽媛邀请特朗普夫妇体验书画装裱工序的关键环节——托画心。

两国元首夫妇观看了《梨园春苗》、《美猴王》、《贵妃醉酒》三个精彩剧目。来宾们阵阵掌声和声声喝彩不绝于耳。
