With temperatures soaring to sweltering heights, numerous red-level warnings have been issued by the Keqiao District Meteorological Observatory as the area braces for subtropical high pressure weather and days surpassing 40℃. Outdoor activities and operations should be moved indoors when possible in the interest of health and safety.
热热热!最近几天,柯桥已进入“烧烤”模式,高温天超长“待机”。柯桥区气象台已多次发布高温红色预警信号:受副热带高压控制,预计全区所有镇(街道)最高气温可达40℃以上,建议午后停止户外露天作业,减少户外活动。
The “dog days” are here… as July 16th marks the Chinese lunar calendar’s hottest and most humid point of summer, usually beginning in mid-June and stretching up to 30 to 40 days. The “dog days” can be divided into 3 distinct “stages,” with the first lasting approximately 10 days, the second (and hottest period of the year) anywhere from 10 to 20, and the third and final another 10. 2022’s “days” will see the heat commence on July 16, lasting until August 24.

Doctors advise care and attention to heat stroke avoidance - a possibility life-threatening condition manifesting in elevated body temperature, dizziness, nausea, headache, vomiting, tightness in the chest, weakness, and more - symptoms and conditions that can easily add up and multiply in extreme heat, leading to possibly fatal results.
医生提醒:近期中暑病人高发,主要表现为体温升高、头晕、恶心、头痛、呕吐、胸闷、浑身无力等。在高温、高热、高湿的“桑拿天”,稍不留意,可能就中暑,轻则恶心呕吐,重则威胁生命。
In the interest of personal health and safety, traveling outside for work or recreation should be avoided. Scheduled breaks should divide continuous working hours, and requisite protective measures should be taken at all times. Get adequate sleep, eat lightly but regularly, and stay hydrated at all times. If you sweat regularly, supplement electrolytes through drinks or water by adding appropriate amounts of salt and sugar, and increase consumption of nutrient-rich hydrating fruits to ensure your body retains healthy levels of water and electrolytes vital to combating heat stroke, dehydration, and other related ailments.
为此,近期,要避免高温时段外出或作业,缩短连续工作时间,并采取必要的防护措施,同时,保持充足睡眠,饮食宜清淡、规律,适量补充水分。出汗较多时,可补充一些含电解质的饮料,如在白开水中加入适量的糖和盐,多吃含微量元素较丰富的水果,以弥补人体因出汗而丢失的水和电解质。
If someone in your vicinity is suspected of suffering heat stroke, immediate action is required. First, get them to a cool and well-ventilated space, lie them flat and unbutton any restrictive clothing. Next, wipe their face and body with a cool, wet towel. The room should be air-conditioned to ensure a temperature cooler than the exterior, however not so drastically cold as to cause further complications. Liquids should be administered and hydration replenished, with light salt water or cool drinks containing sodium administered in small amounts at regular intervals for early stages of light to mild heat stroke. In the case of serious illness, call 120 immediately.
此外,一旦怀疑有人中暑,要做出相应处理。包括,首迅速转移患者到阴凉通风处,平卧并解开衣扣;随后用湿毛巾擦拭其面部和全身;将患者放置在空调房间内,温度不宜太低;同时要补水,中暑初期或轻度中暑,给患者补充淡盐水或者含盐的清凉饮料,少量多次补充,严重时,要及时拨打120。
