【谁是Jimmy Choo?】
周仰杰（Jimmy Choo），英国戴安娜王妃生前的御用鞋子设计师。
他是世界最著名华裔鞋类设计师，唯一一位在国际拥有自己英文姓名Jimmy Choo为著名鞋子品牌的华裔人士。 2001年国际鞋子制造商向周仰杰购买Jimmy Choo名号，继续打造国际著名时尚鞋子品牌。
凭借性感剪裁、时尚设计与卓越的意大利工艺，Jimmy Choo赢得一众要求极高的顾客的欢心，令品牌推出之首个设计系列获得空前成功。以成为国际性尊贵时尚生活品牌为目标，Jimmy Choo一方面致力吸引外来投资，一方面积极扩展产品种类、销售渠道及分店版图。而周仰杰先生及塔玛拉·梅隆则先后于2001年及2011年离开品牌。
作为名人时尚造型设计的先驱，Jimmy Choo是其中一个首先将华丽鞋履和手袋引进好莱坞的品牌，而星光熠熠的红地毯，毋疑是展现品牌璀璨魅力的理想舞台。今时今日，Jimmy Choo经已发展成一个从名流到皇室，由音乐人以至国家元首，都极力推崇的时尚标志。
正由于深受名人喜爱，品牌的业务得以快速发展。而由名摄影师马里奥·特斯蒂诺（Mario Testino），泰利·理查德森（Terry Richardson）及史帝文·梅西（Steven Meisel）等操刀拍摄，以迷人女强人脚踏华美高跟鞋，手抓绚丽手袋之形象为主题，大胆而具戏剧性的一辑广告，更彷佛为品牌撒上一圈金光，进一步深化品牌魅力四射的形象。
扩展零售业务一直是集团的主要发展策略。Jimmy Choo首间专卖店于1996年在伦敦Motcomb Street开幕，当时品牌亦于一众最著名的精选百货公司设立销售点。短短两年间，集团已将销售网络扩展至美国，于纽约及比华利山（Beverly Hills）开设两间全新分店。往后，Jimmy Choo继续扩展不断，并于世界各地著名尊贵品牌购物热点如伦敦的斯隆街（Sloane Street）和邦德街（Bond Street），巴黎的蒙田大道（Avenue Montaigne），罗马的康多提大道（Via Condotti），纽约的麦迪逊大道（Madison Avenue），比华利山的罗地欧大道（Rodeo Drive）及东京的银座（Ginza）等开设分店。
直到今天，Jimmy Choo已发展成为一个非常全面的尊贵时尚生活品牌。女士鞋履系列依然是品牌之核心产品，此外还有手袋、小型皮具、围巾、太阳眼镜、眼镜、皮带、香水及男士鞋履等系列。集团的两位创意总监Sandra Choi及Simon Holloway同样以将品牌发展成全球最备受重视之尊贵时尚品牌之一为目标，一直亲自监督品牌的设计方向，力求完美。作为被私人持有的奢侈品集团Labelux股份有限公司其中一重点品牌，Jimmy Choo现于全球32个国家共开设了150间专卖店，同时亦在世界各地一众最著名的精选百货公司及多元品牌精品店内设有销售点。

Hosted by Professor Choo at TAFE Queensland, this exquisite exhibition will be a showcase of six never-before-seen pairs of couture shoes from Professor Choo’s new collection. Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to meet the man behind the name, while getting a first-hand glimpse of his exclusive new collection. Enjoy free drinks and canapés while being entertained by jazz music and former Miss Universe Australia, Courtney Thorpe.

‘Head over Heels’ Luncheon

Media stars, live theatre and fancy footwear collide at a fundraising luncheon dedicated to the future of Queensland fashion. Hosted by TAFE Queensland, Professor Jimmy Choo and Sharyn Ghidella, this is your chance to savour fine food, as well as experience exclusive pieces from top designers.
All guests are invited to take part in a silent auction on exquisite items donated by our eager sponsors, with all proceeds going to our Fashion Centre of Excellence. This will allow up and coming fashion designers and entrepreneurs to gain the skills and resources needed to bring their visions to life.
Auction items include:
• $1000 Westfield Gift Voucher
• Illiza Ho Handbag (valued at over $900AUD)
• Jimmy Choo shoe illustration signed by Professor Choo himself
• Handmade Bird and Ruby necklet (valued at $4,000)

Lead by Professor Choo, the TAFE Queensland Fashion Symposium will bring together the brightest minds from retail, fashion and the broader creative industries to discuss creating consumer products in today’s world. As a creative, you will be exposed to discussions around market trends, ethical production, disruptive advertising within the fashion industry, and engaging a business mentor. The afternoon will consist of a panel discussion of industry experts centred around starting in the fashion world.
A special sub-event will be held during the breaks to showcase TAFE Queenslands’ leading fashion centre of excellence which focuses on promoting innovation and creativity through applied skills. Read more about this event here.
