At Beijing United Family Hospital, we ensure healthcare has as much to do with care as it does with health. To achieve the goal of providing a pleasant and comfortable experience for the patient and their family members, our Patient Services team works closely with numerous departments to supplement the excellent clinical care provided by doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, with a vast array of non-clinical care elements.
24/7 Language Support
While the language of our hospital is English, and many of our international patients do speak English, we recognize that – especially when unwell – many will like the comfort of communicating in their native tongue. That is why our on-site Patient Services officers speak not only English and Mandarin, but also other eight languages between them, namely French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Korean.
Our language support is available – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – to provide assistance to patients through every step of their hospital or clinic visit.
If we do not have a team member who can speak the patient’s desired language at hand, we are pleased to offer a 24-hour telephone interpretation service that operates in over 40 languages.

In addition to the multilingual support provided by our Patient Services officers, our hospital staffs are fluent in a number of languages, including English, Mandarin, Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Danish, Swedish, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Romanian, Slovak, Czech, Hebrew, Farsi, Hindi, Indonesian, Nepali, Thai, Laotian, Taiwanese, Shanghainese, Sichuanese, and Cantonese.
