Jackie Gao BeijingUnitedFamilyHospital 2020-02-28

Attention, marathon runners! The 2019 Beijing Marathon is coming up in November this year. For the sixth time in a row, Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU) will be proudly supporting the event as the official offline registration channel and the exclusive medical sponsor. Offline registrations at BJU will be held from September, 16 to 21. If you plan to run across the finish line this year, this is your chance to get the pass. Read on for more details.

This year's Beijing Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 3. The route will start at 7:30 am and will take the runners to pass iconic Beijing landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Olympic Village until the runners reach the finish line at the Bird's Nest stadium.

BJU is an official offline registration channel for foreign competitors and the exclusive healthcare provider. This is the sixth year that BJU has been supporting the marathon runners through registration to providing medical assistance on the day.

As you may know, there is a limit to how many Chinese runners (including those from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) can register, but there is no limit to the number of non-Chinese nationals that can participate.

To register, however, you must meet the registration requirements set forth by the Beijing Marathon, including the following:

• age above 20 years (or born before December 31, 1999), and

• participation in a full marathon (from January 1, 2017, to August 1, 2019, inclusive) with a certificate; or

• participation in a half-marathon (from January 1, 2018, to August 1, 2019, inclusive) with a certificate.

For more information on the registration requirements, check on the Beijing Marathon's official website www.beijing-marathon.com or click Read More at the bottom of this article.

On September 8 and September 21, BJU will host two marathon-related seminars on the topics of nutrition, sports injury, physiotherapy, heart health, lung health, and first-aid in an emergency. If you are interested to attend, please leave us a message in the conversation box and leave your contact details for us to get in touch with you.

We look forward to seeing you when you register, and we wish you good luck with your training!
