What's New at BJU? November Discount Packages, Events, and More!

Jackie Gao BeijingUnitedFamilyHospital 2020-02-28
At Beijing United Family Hospital (BJU), we are not only active in caring for people who need medical services but also interested in participating in the local community events. These may include providing first-aid support, offering free consultations, or hosting free health seminars. In this post, we give you a heads up about what's happening at BJU in November.

- BJU in the community-

BJU joins the 2019 Beijing Marathon this Sunday

This year's Beijing Marathon will take place this Sunday, November 3. The route will start at 7:30 am and will take the runners to pass iconic Beijing landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Olympic Village until the runners reach the finish line at the Bird's Nest stadium. For the sixth time in a row, BJU will be supporting the event as the exclusive healthcare provider.

Before you turn up for the race, fuel up for the race the day before the race by following this diet plan. Look out for BJU staff wearing a blue top should you need any medical assistance on the day. We look forward to seeing you on the road. Good luck with the race!

Health seminars and events at the workplace
Throughout November, there will be a few health seminars held at various workplaces. Contact BJU Marketing if you are interested in hosting health seminars at your workplace.

First-aid support at international community events
Throughout November, BJU will provide first-aid support to many events in the community. One of the major events is the 2019 Beijing Marathon. You may want to know that the BJU Emergency Department is open 24 hours and offers emergency services for both adult and pediatric patients.

Flu shots are available at BJU and most BJU clinics
The World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Chinese Ministry of Health (MOH) all recommend annual vaccination for all against the flu. Even if you aren't at high risk of developing flu complications, you should still get a flu shot to protect yourself, as well as everyone you come in contact with (especially if you are in regular contact with young children, older adults, or sick family members).

  • What is lower limb ischemia and how it influences your daily life

  • How to screen and diagnose lower limb ischemia

  • Individualized treatment of arterial stenosis and occlusions in legs

Following the seminar, there will be free consultations. Registration is free. So, come along if this is relevant to you or someone you know.
