When people in the world sent away 2019 and welcome for 2020, when the Chinese people are purchasing various New Year's items and preparing for the Chinese New Year, the unexpected outbreak of the new coronavirus has become more and more serious, cars, high-speed rails, planes, and ships were all stop, and cities, and countries were forced to close, just like time has stopped.

With the spread of the pandemic, different regions and countries have begun to have outbreaks. The United States and New York, where I live in, are no exception; the welcoming, inclusive New York even became the most severely affected city in the United States.

New York’s early spring is the most beautiful every year; all kinds of plants and flowers are in full bloom. However, this spring, New York is shroud under the virus.

The epidemic is getting more and more serious, the number of morbidity and death kept increasing. People are worried and afraid about the new coronavirus, paying special attention to the pandemic news reports.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, Governor Cuomo of New York State ordered “shelter-in-place”. The kindergartens and schools were completely closed on March 16, on March 22, all unnecessary works were stopped. Manhattan became an empty city, the lively city with bustle and prosperity is being replaced with lonesome and depress. But, Manhattan as an manless city: beauty remains, still charming, the aura of this international metropolis lasts

Riverside Park under the Brooklyn Bridge

The riverside park under the Brooklyn Bridge is a place suitable for both adults and children. Here you can not only enjoy the beautiful views of Manhattan during the day, but also enchant in the night views; there are many famous restaurants and bars along with carousels for children to play. People can enjoy the beautiful scenery while tasting the delicious food all day long, but I personally feel that the night is more pleasing. Every time I come here, I always don’t want to leave, the pandemic had caused such flourish and beautiful place to close its gates and become manless.
