朱晓鸿是我校友，我们的友谊已经五十多年了。上世纪六十年代中期他的书法已成校园一大景观。
Zhu Xiaohong is my alumni, our friendship has already lasted for over fifty years. Starting from the sixties of the last century, his calligraphy has become a major sight on campus.
他自幼受家庭影响，研习书法。他从二王出发，遍临诸家，转益多师，又遍寻当代名师大家，博采众长。将近一个甲子的生命岁月，任世界风云变幻，人间大浪淘沙，他手握管颖，临池不辍，出入碑帖，篆隶真草各有所成。书法成了他度过人生艰难的精神支柱，放飞梦想的精神家园。其书法提按顿挫枯瘦粗细浓淡，节奏变化丰富而有序，尤其其草书，极富音乐的韵律之美。在当今海上书坛自成一家面目风格。
Influenced by his family, he learned calligraphy from a young age. He began with the styles of Two Wangs, then gradually expanded into other styles. Zhu studied with different teachers and learned after famous calligraphers, obtaining knowledge from multiple perspectives. No matter how the world changes over the sixty years, the brush is still grasped tight on his hand. Zhu never stopped working, understood deeply the essence of the scripts, attained many achievements in all seal, clerical, regular, and cursive scripts. Calligraphy has become mental support for him to overcome obstacles in life and a spiritual home for him to pursue dreams. His calligraphic works are rich and well organized in Ti An Dun Cuo, thinness and thickness, and dense and light. Especially the cursive script, which contains the rhyme beauty of music. He formed a unique style in the current Shanghai calligraphy altar.
晓鸿于书法之外，还钟情于各类艺术，皆有很深造诣。尤其摄影，以风光为主，足迹遍涉祖国名山大川，在借以开阔胸襟、陶抒心情的同时，也让我们感受到了世界和生命的美好。
Despite calligraphy, Xiaohong also is in love with other arts, where he also has deep knowledge of them. Especially photography, he mainly focused on landscapes, traveling all over the famous mountains and rivers of the motherland. While opening our minds and expressing our mood, the works also allow us to feel the beauty of the world and life.
